For the week that ended on April 25th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple topped the Blu-ray-only chart in its debut. The fourth film in the 28 Days Later franchise was shot back-to-back with 28 Years Later, functioning both as a direct follow-up and as the second film of a planned trilogy. The Bone Temple opened in January 2026 (only seven months after its predecessor) and critical reviews were very positive, but at the box office it grossed just $25 million domestically and $58 million worldwide, or a little more than a third of the $151 million take of 28 Years Later. However, home video sales for The Bone Temple have been strong, as this week, it had an HD share of 73% and 42% of units sold from the 4K UHD format (which is currently available only in SteelBook packaging, unlike the previous film), enough to also make it the week's top 4K UHD release.

Debuting in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart is the week's top disc seller, Black Bear's Shelter (2026). The latest Jason Statham action vehicle opened in January 2026 and received mixed reviews, while at the box office, it grossed over $12 million domestically, but a much healthier $41 million internationally, for a global total of over $54 million. This week, Shelter sold 64% as many Blu-ray units as 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, with an HD share of 37%. A 4K UHD edition is not currently available.

Debuting in third place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Lionsgate Home Entertainment's The Strangers: Chapter 3. The fifth film in The Strangers franchise is the final part of its own trilogy and opened in February 2026, just five months after The Strangers: Chapter 2. Like its predecessor, The Strangers: Chapter 3 received negative reviews and grossed about $10 million globally, less than half of what Chapter 2 made. This week, The Strangers: Chapter 3 sold 50% as many Blu-ray units as 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, with a perfect HD share of 100%. A 4K UHD edition is not currently available.

Elsewhere on the Blu-ray-only chart, Disney and 20th Century Studios' Send Help (2026), Paramount Home Media Distribution's Primate (2025) and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die debuted at Nos. 4, 5 and 6, while Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's 4K UHD upgrade of Sleepers and the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Point Blank (1967) brought those films up to Nos. 7 and 9. Outside the top ten, MUBI's Die My Love debuted at No. 15.
