Vertigo Releasing: First Look at New 4K Restoration of Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom

Vertigo Releasing has provided a promotional trailer for the new 4K restoration of Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom (1992), starring Paul Mercurio, Tara Morice, Bill Hunter, Gia Carides, and Barry Otto. The 4K restoration will open in cinemas across the United Kingdom and Ireland on June 12.

Preliminary plans for upcoming 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases have not yet been revealed.

Description: Now in dazzling 4K for the first time, Baz Luhrmann's iconic debut feature follows Scott Hastings (Paul Mercurio), a male dancer who refuses to follow the accepted rules of ballroom dancing and creates his own style of choreography, infuriating the ballroom dancing establishment. Before he's scheduled to compete in the championships, he's forced to take up a new partner (Tara Morice), a beginner who initially seems without promise. With his help, she turns into an assured and wonderful dancer.
