Australian label Imprint Films has announced its June batch of releases. They are: Bound (1996), A Bronx Tale (1993), The Trigger Effect (1996), The Assignment (1997), Victory (1996), Killer: A Journal of Murder (1995), and Henry & June (1990).

BOUND

Violet will do anything to escape her relationship with violent gangster boyfriend Caesar, and when alluring ex-con Corky appears on the scene, Violet sees her chance. The two women soon begin an affair, forming a plot to steal millions from the Mafia. But when the stakes are life-or-death, even the most perfect of plans can go dangerously wrong.

The feature film debut from siblings and future Matrix directors The Wachowskis was an instant game-changer: a cool, queer, pulpy crime film with an unmistakable edge. Thirty years on, it still feels like a jolt to the system, with cult icons Gina Gershon (Showgirls) and Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky) heading up a cast that includes Joe Pantoliano (Memento), Christopher Meloni (12 Monkeys), and character actor John P. Ryan (Runaway Train) in his final film role.

Limited Edition 2-Disc 4K Blu-ray & Blu-ray Hardbox with a 44-Page Hardcover Booklet featuring original production stills and the original press kit.

A BRONX TALE

In 1960s New York, nine-year-old Calogero is torn between two worlds: that of his honest, hardworking father Lorenzo, and the one ruled by charismatic mob boss Sonny. Calogero's double life becomes all the more complicated when he falls for an African American girl named Jane, and embarks on a dangerous romance that threatens to ignite the Bronx.

In 1990, Robert De Niro saw Chazz Palminteri's one-man show "A Bronx Tale", and declared it "one of the greatest one-man shows I've ever seen, if not the greatest". Soon, the two men began working to adapt it into a film, with Palminteri scripting, De Niro directing, and both performing, respectively, portraying the adult figures fighting over the destiny of young Calogero. Legendary film critic Roger Ebert gave it a perfect score, calling it "very funny" and "very touching".

THE TRIGGER EFFECT

For new parents Annie and Matthew, a power outage at first seems like little more than an inconvenience. But as the blackout rolls on, the normal structures of society begin to break down, and the ordered world they thought they lived in soon descends into chaos.

The directorial debut of acclaimed screenwriter David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Panic Room) is a searing paranoid thriller about how thin the veneer of society really is, and how quickly we revert to a tribal mindset when the systems we depend on are disrupted. Starring Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas), Dermot Mulroney (Copycat), Richard T. Jones (Event Horizon), and Michael Rooker (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer).

THE ASSIGNMENT

For 20 years, Carlos the Jackal led a reign of terror so brutal, his capture was an international obsession. Now, a global manhunt is closing in.

International authorities have spent years hunting down notorious terrorist Carlos the Jackal, and have finally captured him… or so they think. The prisoner turns out to be US naval officer Annibal Ramirez, a dead ringer for the Jackal. Stunned by the resemblance, the CIA convinces Ramirez to pose as the terrorist in the hopes of flushing him out and ending his reign. But when you become a perfect copy of a killer, how can you avoid losing your humanity?

Inspired by the real-life hunt for the Jackal, this gripping spy movie from The Art of War filmmaker Christian Duguay stars Aidan Quinn (Legends of the Fall), Donald Sutherland (Don't Look Now) and Academy Award-winner Sir Ben Kingsley (Schindler's List).

VICTORY

In the Dutch East Indies, musician Alma discovers she is to be enslaved and sold to a lascivious hotel owner. She turns to a stranger for help: the mysterious Axel Heyst, a former businessman who now lives a life of seclusion. Heyst reluctantly agrees to aid her escape, and the two return to his remote island where they soon fall in love. But their idyllic life is interrupted by the unexpected arrival of three men who claim to have drifted to the island by chance. But in a world of vengeance and lies, nothing is a coincidence.

Based on the novel by Heart of Darkness author Joseph Conrad, Victory was the final film from renowned Oscar-winning screenwriter Mark Peploe (Antonioni's The Passenger, Bertolucci's The Last Emperor). The film stars Willem Dafoe (The Last Temptation of Christ), Sam Neill (Dead Calm), Irène Jacob (The Double Life of Veronique), Rufus Sewell (Dark City), Ho Yi (Spy Game), Bill Paterson (Richard III) and Simon Callow (A Room with a View).

KILLER: A JOURNAL OF MURDER

Criminal Carl Panzram is serving time at Leavenworth, where he befriends young prison guard Henry Lesser. Henry is someone who believes strongly in reform, and provides Carl with writing materials so he can tell his life story. It turns out to be a tale more horrifying than anyone had suspected, as he reveals the numerous murders and attacks he has committed over his life. But are Carl's violent tendencies in the past, and are some people truly beyond salvation?

Tim Metcalfe (screenwriter of Kalifornia) brings to life this shocking true story, with a standout performance from James Woods – who won Best Actor at the Sitges Film Festival for his portrayal of Carl Panzram – alongside Robert Sean Leonard (Dead Poets Society) as optimistic guard Henry.

HENRY & JUNE

In 1931 Paris, writer Anaïs Nin lives happily with her husband Ian, but feels a lack of emotional and creative fulfilment. When she meets aspiring novelist Henry Miller she becomes fascinated by his bohemian lifestyle, and is soon also captivated by his beautiful wife June. But the more time she spends with them, the more she is drawn into a complicated web of love, desire, jealousy and ambition.

Acclaimed filmmaker Philip Kaufman (The Unbearable Lightness of Being) directs this erotic adaptation of Anaïs Nin's posthumously-published memoir, the first film to ever receive the NC-17 rating in the US. Stars Fred Ward (The Right Stuff), Uma Thurman (Dangerous Liaisons), Maria de Medeiros (Pulp Fiction), and Richard E. Grant (Withnail and I).
