Australian label Imprint Film has informed us that it will add several new Asian titles to its catalog. They are:
Prison on Fire I & II (1987-1991),
Bullet in the Head (1990),
Once a Thief (1991),
An Amorous Woman of Tang Dynasty / The Reincarnation of Golden Lotus (1984-1989), and
The Missing Gun (2002). All titles are scheduled to arrive on the market on May 27.
PRISON ON FIRE I & II
Lo Ka Yiu, a young ad designer who is sentenced to jail for manslaughter, has gotten himself in trouble with the corrupted wardens and fellow inmates of Triad background. Chung Tin-ching, a veteran inmate and Yiu's mentor, is forced to confront his comrade's enemies time and again, leading up to the final showdown with the head of security. Starring Chow Yun-Fat, Tony Leung Ka-fai, and Roy Cheung, and directed by Ringo Lam.
The rivalry between two Chinese prison factions heats up as a seasoned inmate forms an alliance that could cost him more than his freedom. Director Ringo Lam returns alongside star Chow Yun-Fat in this turbulent sequel to the grimy original.
BULLET IN THE HEAD
John Woo kicked off his monumental run of 90s action crime thrillers with Bullet In The Head, a slick, frenetic slice of hyper-violent carnage, set against the brutal turmoil of the Vietnam War. Three childhood friends from the slums of Hong Kong flee to wartime Saigon after accidentally murdering a gang leader, but their troubles only escalate. Originally written as a prequel to A Better Tomorrow, Woo reworked the story into a standalone film, responding to the Tiananmen Square massacre and largely funded the film himself. Starring Tony Leung, Jacky Cheung, Waise Lee, and Simon Yam.
ONCE A THIEF
Director John Woo teams up with actors Chow Yun-fat and Leslie Cheung, adding heist action-comedy Once A Thief to his league of Golden Princess classics. Three orphans grow up to become art thieves under the tutelage of a crime boss. Romance complicates matters when the trio are double-crossed.

Rebellious Yu Yuan-gi becomes a Taoist priestess to avoid traditional roles designated to her as a woman by society, and instead focus on her studies and poetry. However, her trysts with both her maid and a ronin lead to trouble. Starring Pat Ha Man-Jik, Alex Man Chi-Leung, and Chang Kuo-Chu, and directed by Eddie Fong.
The Reincarnation of Golden Lotus
An exceptionally beautiful Chinese woman falls prey to violence and social control. After remembering how her previous reincarnation followed a similar path, she tries to break free of the mold. Starring Joey Wong Cho-Yin, Wilson Lam Chun-Yin, Pal Sinn Lap-Man, and Eric Tsang Chi-Wai, directed by Clara Law.
THE MISSING GUN
This 2002 black comedy marked Lu Chuan's directorial debut, adapted from the novella by Fan Yiping, and starring Jiang Wen, Ning Jing and Wu Yujuan. After a policeman gets drunk and loses his service weapon, he frantically searches for his revolver and the killer who murdered his former lover. The winner of Best Debut Film at the Beijing College Student Film Festival.
