For the week that ended on March 14th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's
Zootopia 2 remained atop the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its first week. The hotly-anticipated sequel to
Zootopia (which was warmly received and cracked $1 billion worldwide at the box office back in 2016) opened in November 2025 to similarly positive reviews and massive box office success, grossing over $158 million over the 5-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend, en route to over $427 million domestically, some $85 million more than its predecessor. But internationally,
Zootopia 2 has also grossed a staggering $1.4 billion, giving it a worldwide total of over $1.86 billion, enough to make it both the highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2025 and the second-highest-grossing animated film of all time. This week,
Zootopia 2 had an HD share of 44%, but just 1% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, which is currently available only in the US and only in
Limited Edition SteelBook packaging, which has experienced supply issues and fell out of the top 20 4K UHD titles chart this week. Although there is currently no sign of a standard
Zootopia 2 4K UHD release in North America or Europe, a
Japanese edition is currently set for May 2026.
Remaining in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart in its fourth week is Disney and 20th Century Studios'
Predator: Badlands. The seventh installment in the
Predator franchise opened in November 2025 to positive reviews and box office success, grossing over $91 million domestically and over $184 million globally. This week,
Predator: Badlands sold 63% as many Blu-ray units as
Zootopia 2, with an HD share of 58% and 28% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to make
Predator: Badlands the week's top 4K UHD title.
Remaining in third place on the Blu-ray-only chart in its second week is Paramount Home Media Distribution's
The Running Man (2025). Edgar Wright's update of the Stephen King novel (which was previously filmed in
1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the title role) opened in November 2025 to mixed reviews and on its opening weekend, placed second to
Now You See Me, Now You Don't at the box office. This week,
The Running Man sold 29% as many Blu-ray units as
Zootopia 2, again with an HD share of 38% and 38% of units sold from the 4K UHD combo pack format.
Elsewhere on the charts, Shout Factory's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for
The Devil's Advocate and Kino Lorber's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for
Somewhere in Time brought those films back into the top ten Blu-rays at Nos. 7 and 10, respectively.
