It All Came True
Description: Killer Chips Maguire (Humphrey Bogart) is cooling his heels where the cops will never find him: a shabby boarding house run by two dear old ladies who cluck over Chips like devoted mother hens. When Chips finds out the biddies owe back taxes, he hits on a can't-miss scheme. He talks his fellow boarders, zanies all, into turning the house into a Gay '90s-themed nightclub! Fans who know the pre-stardom Bogart for his compelling performances as tightly coiled heavies in gangster sagas are in for a treat as Bogie unwinds with deadpan cracks in this appealing crime comedy. IT ALL CAME TRUE served as a terrific star turn for Ann Sheridan whose status as more than just the "Oomph" girl was strengthened by her turn as the sassy leading lady of the film. Critics not only praised Sheridan, but also took notice of Bogart's multi-faceted performance which is one of the film's delightful surprises. The witty story benefits from an outstanding supporting cast of character greats Zasu Pitts, Una O'Connor and Felix Bressart.

Honky Tonk
Description: Con artist Candy Johnson (Clark Gable) has been run out of town after town. Then he got wise. He went out and got a town of his own – Yellow Creek, Nevada. Lana Turner stars opposite Gable in this sometimes comic, always terrific Western. The title honky tonk is the Square Deal Saloon, where Candy and poker-playing sidekick Sniper (Chill Wills) cut cards but not the liquor. The colorful townsfolk include a Justice of the Peace (Frank Morgan), a long-suffering dancehall girl (Claire Trevor), and a law-unto-himself Sheriff (Albert Dekker). Topping it all, is the pizzazz of the first Gable-Turner pairing. After kissing her, Gable says: "Why don't you jump in and get wet all over?" Upon initial release, Honky Tonk was MGM's most financially successful release of the year. It was the first of four successful onscreen pairings between Gable and Turner and cemented Lana Turner's status as one of the top leading ladies under contract to MGM. Newly remastered for the first time in over 35 years, the film arrives on Blu-ray looking sensational, restored from a 4K scan of the film's original nitrate negative. HONKY TONK is an essential add to any classic cinema enthusiast's collection!

The Gay Divorcee
Description: After supporting roles in "Flying Down to Rio" sent their movie careers soaring, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers starred for the first time in this witty and delightful escapade about marriage, divorce and all the romantic complications that come in between. The Gay Divorcee set the style, tone, and behind-the-camera talents for the Astaire/Rogers classics to come and captured five Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture*. Musical highlights here include the 17-minute marvel The Continental (the first Oscar®-winner for Best Song) and Cole Porter's haunting Night and Day. Indeed, "if Astaire and Rogers had never danced a lick after Night and Day, they still would have been screen immortals" (The Movie Guide). Now 92 years after its premiere, this cherished classic can be experienced as it was meant to be seen, with this Blu-ray disc revealing a stunning restoration from a 4K scan of the original nitrate camera negative.

Tea and Sympathy
Description: When MGM premiered the film TEA AND SYMPATHY in 1956, The New York Times' mercurial film reviewer Bosley Crowther raved that the film was "Strong and sensitive", and went on to praise the excellence of director Vincente Minnelli's adaptation of the Broadway play upon which this film was based. Homosexuality was a taboo subject in 1956 Hollywood. So it was a challenge for screenwriter Robert Anderson to adapt his hit Broadway play about a sensitive prep schooler called "sister boy" by his peers and the lovely housemaster's wife who realizes she must offer more than tea and sympathy to help the boy prove his manhood. The frankness may be muted, but the power remains in this stellar film. Under Minnelli's distinguished direction, Deborah Kerr and John Kerr reprise their Broadway roles as the older woman and the younger man in poignant performances that reveal the compassion and the torment of being human. Their stage co-star Leif Erickson joins them in counterpoint as the emotionally clenched housemaster. Now beautifully remastered from a 4K scan of the original CinemaScope camera negative, one of Minnelli's very best dramas arrives on Blu-ray in pristine form.

The Man Who Came to Dinner
Description: Famed author Sheridan Whiteside possesses a tongue dipped in venom and a brain that can crack The New York Times crossword puzzle in four minutes. On a lecture tour in Ohio, he slips on the ice and is confined to the home of a bourgeois couple. He proceeds to plunge the household into chaos, ruling the place like a czar and meddling in everyone's love life. Monty Woolley reprises his Broadway triumph as the imperious Whiteside in this delightful, lightning-paced farce. A who's who of Hollywood talents portray a who's who of thinly veiled real-life luminaries, ranging from Gertrude Lawrence to Harpo Marx. And Bette Davis shines in an uncharacteristic role as Whiteside's unflappable secretary. The Man Who Came to Dinner. The original Broadway hit written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, was superbly brought to the big screen by Warner Bros. to delight audiences for decades to come. It's a feast of wit and sophistication, now looking and sounding better than ever for its Blu-ray debut, derived from a 4K scan of the original nitrate camera negative.
