Blu-ray Sales: January 18-24: Wicked: For Good Wins One Battle After Another on the Charts

For the week that ended on January 24th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Wicked: For Good took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and UHD Sellers charts in its first week. The continuation of Wicked (2024) opened a year later in November 2025, receiving mixed reviews, but strong box office, eventually grossing over $342 million domestically and over $526 million globally. This week, Wicked: For Good had an HD share of 64%, with 32% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to also make it the week's top 4K UHD title.

Debuting in second place is Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's One Battle After Another. The latest film from Paul Thomas Anderson went before the cameras in early 2024, but the content of the film ended up being eerily representative late 2025, when the film opened in cinemas that September to critical acclaim. While the film was unable to match its critical success at the box office (the reported budget was between $130–175 million), its domestic gross of over $71 million and global total of over $207 million make it the highest-grossing film of Anderson's career. The film has also earned numerous awards and nominations, including nine nominations and five awards at the Golden Globes (including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy) and 13 nominations (including Best Picture, Best Director, four acting nominations and Best Cinematography for Michael Bauman) at the upcoming Academy Awards. This week, One Battle After Another sold 39% as many Blu-ray units as Wicked: For Good, with an HD share of 68% and 43% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Debuting in third place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Wicked: 2-Film Collection (2024-2025), which collects both parts of the film adaptation. This week, the Wicked: 2-Film Collection sold 16% as many Blu-ray units as Wicked: For Good, with an HD share of 54% and 12% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the charts, 20th Century Studios' Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere debuted at No. 5 on the Blu-ray-only chart, while BBC Home Entertainment's Blu-ray of Doctor Who: Tom Baker: Complete Season Two (AKA Doctor Who: The Collection - Season 13 in the UK) (1975-1976) came in at No. 6, Arrow Video's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Snakes on a Plane came in at No. 8 and Paramount Home Media Distribution's Roofman came in at No. 9. Outside the top ten, Shout Factory's End of Watch, which was released on 4K UHD this week, came in at No. 11, while Cineverse's Screamboat debuted at No. 16.
