3-D RARITIES VOLUME III
Restored by the 3-D Film Archive for release in 2027.
Includes:
Around the World in Bolex Stereo
This newly curated collection will contain over 2 hours of unique three-dimensional treasures from the
1920s through the 1970s.
The golden centerpiece of this one-of-a-kind collection will be rare, never-before-seen stereoscopic
motion pictures—filmed literally around the globe in 16mm Bolex Stereo by world-renowned radiologist,
Dr. Philip Strax.
A
bonus short produced by Emmy and Murrow Award-winning documentarian Sean Thrunk tracks the
impact Dr. Strax left on the world - from his filmmaking to his pioneering work in mammography. This
film connects his work in early breast cancer detection, his life as a father, and his creations in Bolex
Stereo.
