Kino Lorber have detailed their upcoming 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Blake Edwards'
The Return of the Pink Panther (1975), starring Peter Sellers, Christopher Plummer, Catherine Schell, Herbert Lom, and Peter Arne. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on March 3.
Description: Making one of the most triumphant returns in cinematic history, the great Peter Sellers is back in action —and back causing chaos—as the intrepid bumbler Inspector Clouseau for director Blake Edwards in The Return of the Pink Panther, the third in this team's classic movie comedy series. The fun begins with dazzling animated incarnations of the Pink Panther cartoon character and of Clouseau romping through an epic opening credits sequence, and the mystery commences when the storied Pink Panther jewel is thrillingly heisted in a nocturnal raid. Much to the chagrin of the highly agitated Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Herbert Lom), Clouseau is called upon to recover the diamond. Prime suspect Sir Charles Litton (Christopher Plummer) sets off on his own investigation, with Clouseau several steps/trips/falls behind. From a "swimming peul" to a sauna to the beautiful Swiss town of Gstaad, Clouseau gets uproariously entangled with small animals, innocent bystanders, beautiful women, household appliances, and much more!
