Film Masters is preparing a Blu-ray release of Henry King's The Snows of Kilimanjaro (1952), starring Gregory Peck, Susan Hayward, Ava Gardner, Hildegard Knef, and Leo G. Carroll. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on March 31.
A celebrated but disillusioned writer, Harry Street (Gregory Peck), lies dying from a infected leg wound during an African safari, forcing him to reflect on his life through feverish flashbacks, particularly his lost love, the free-spirited Cynthia Green (Ava Gardner), and questioning if he wasted his talent by chasing adventure over true connection, all while his devoted wife Helen (Susan Hayward) nurses him, trying to keep him from giving up.
