Curzon has provided a promotional teaser trailer for Pedro Almodovar's new film, Bitter Christmas (2026), starring Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Milena Smit, Carmen Machi, Bárbara Lennie, Rossy de Palma and Leonardo Sbaraglia. The film will open theatrically in early 2026.
Description: Pedro Almodóvar's Bitter Christmas (Amarga Navidad) follows Elsa, an advertising director grieving her mother's December death, who buries herself in work until a panic attack sends her and friend Patricia to Lanzarote, while her partner Bonifacio stays in Madrid, all interwoven with a screenwriter's story, blurring lines between life and fiction as they process loss and identity in Almodóvar's signature style.
