Hammer Films is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Gordon Hessler's Cry of the Banshee (1970), starring Vincent Price, Essy Persson, Hilary Heath, Carl Rigg, and Stephan Chase. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on February 9.
Description: Lord Edward Whitman, who rules his domain with an iron fist, massacres a coven of witches. But some still survive and their vengeful leader summons a demonic spirit to destroy Whitman's family.
The two releases will feature both Hessler's original director's cut and AIP's re-edited theatrical version.
