Kino Lorber will release on Blu-ray Roy Boulting and Jeffrey Dell's Man in a Cocked Hat a.k.a. Carlton-Browne of the F.O. (1959), starring Terry-Thomas, Peter Sellers, Luciana Paluzzi, Ian Bannen, and Thorley Walters. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on January 20.
Description: Man in a Cocked Hat (a.k.a. Carlton-Browne of the F.O.) is a classic Cold War satire from the Boulting Brothers (I'm All Right Jack, Heavens Above!) featuring an uproarious Peter Sellers (The Ladykillers) performance. When valuable mineral deposits are discovered on the forgotten British colony of Gaillardia, the Foreign Office sends bumbling envoy Cadogan de Vere Carlton-Browne (Terry-Thomas, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World) to investigate. But while negotiating with their gleefully corrupt Prime Minister Amphibulos (Sellers), Carlton-Browne is convinced to split the tiny island in half, sparking a revolution that leads to an international nuclear showdown with the Russians. Can the Empire's most disastrous diplomat now restore relations before the Cold War comes to a boil?
