Deaf Crocodile is preparing a Blu-ray release of Vladimir Motyl's classic film White Sun of the Desert (1970), starring Anatoly Kuznetsov, Spartak Mishulin, Kakhi Kavsadze, Pavel Luspekayev, and Nikolai Godovikov. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market in early 2026.
White Sun of the Desert is a classic Soviet film about a Red Army soldier, Fyodor Sukhov, who is demobilized during the Russian Civil War and ordered to guard the harem of a bandit leader named Abdullah. While trying to return home to his wife, Sukhov is forced to protect the women, leading to a series of adventures and conflicts as he tries to survive the desert and defeat Abdullah's forces. Cinematography by Eduard Rozovsky (Amphibian Man).
