Radiance Films has announced its February batch of releases. They are: The Japanese Godfather Trilogy (1977–1978), Libido (1965), Iphigenia (1977), and The Stunt Man (1980).
The Japanese Godfather Trilogy
At the dawn of the 1970s, Japan is becoming an economic superpower and the Nakajima crime syndicate extends its grasp across the nation. Politicians and corporations seek the gang's favour to form strategic and highly prosperous partnerships, but its leaders disagree about whether to leave the old ways behind for the sake of money and respectability. Directed by Toei yakuza film specialist Sadao Nakajima (The Rapacious Jailbreaker), this sprawling epic is based on the true story of Japan's largest crime syndicate and features a cast of genre legends, including Koji Tsuruta (Big Time Gambling Boss, Sympathy for the Underdog), Bunta Sugawara (Battles Without Honour and Humanity) and Sonny Chiba (The Streetfighter, Hokuriku Proxy War).

A young man (Giancarlo Giannini, Swept Away) returns to the seaside mansion where, as a child, he witnessed his father kill a woman. Haunted by memories of sadomasochistic games and murder, he begins to doubt his sanity and the trust of his friends. The directorial debut of iconic screenwriter Ernesto Gastaldi (The Horrible Dr Hichcock, Torso), this gothic psychosexual thriller is a distinctive proto-giallo based on a story by Gastaldi's wife and muse Mara Maryl, who also stars.

Iphigenia
After mistakenly slaying a sacred deer, Agamemnon is ordered to atone for his sin by the gods. In order for them to guarantee safe passage for his armies to Troy, he must make the ultimate sacrifice: the death of his beloved daughter, Iphigenia. Torn between family and country, he attempts to keep the details of the impossible ultimatum from his wife, Clytemnestra (Irene Papas, We Still Kill the Old Way), choosing to deceive her while he wrestles with the implications of his decision, while those around him wait tensely for his answer. A masterpiece of epic Greek storytelling, Iphigenia is the third film from Michael Cacoyannis (Zorba the Greek, Elektra) to be adapted from a Euripidean tragedy, and one of the director's most acclaimed and successful films, nominated for both the Palme d'Or and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

The Stunt Man 4K Blu-ray
Description: Cameron (Steve Railsback, Lifeforce) is a man who finds himself unmoored from American life: recently returned from Vietnam, he is now a drifter on the run from the law. While evading police, he stumbles upon the filming of a World War I movie helmed by the megalomaniacal Eli Cross (Peter O'Toole, Lawrence of Arabia). When Cameron discovers that he bears a striking resemblance to the lead actor, he hatches a plan: to hide from his potential captors by disguising himself as a stunt double and agreeing to perform a series of increasingly dangerous stunts.
