Criterion Reveals February Blu-ray Titles

The Criterion Collection has revealed a very European Blu-ray slate for February 2010, which consists of two new releases – Steve McQueen's 'Hunger' and Götz Spielmann's 'Revanche' – and one major classic film – Max Ophüls's 'Lola Montès'. 'Hunger' and 'Revanche' will feature director-approved high-definition transfers and DTS-HD Master Audio sondtracks, whereas 'Lola Montès' will come in uncompressed (LPCM) stereo.

Hunger
  • Video interviews with McQueen and actor Michael Fassbender
  • A short documentary on the making of 'Hunger', including interviews with McQueen, Fassbender, actors Liam Cunningham, Stuart Graham, and Brian Milligan, writer Enda Walsh, and producer Robin Gutch
  • “The Provo's Last Card?” a 1981 episode of the BBC program Panorama, about the causes and effects of the IRA hunger strikes at the Maze prison and the political and civilian reactions across Northern Ireland

Revanche
  • New video interview with Spielmann
  • The Making of 'Revanche,' a half-hour documentary shot on the film's set

Lola Montès
  • Audio commentary featuring Max Ophüls scholar Susan White
