Severin Films will release a standard Blu-ray edition of Enzo G. Castellari's The Shark Hunter (1979), starring Franco Nero, Werner Pochath, Jorge Luke, Michael Forest, and Patricia Rivera. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on December 9.
Description: The other shark movie from legendary action director Enzo G. Castellari (THE LAST SHARK, THE INGLORIOUS BASTARDS) brings him together with his STREET LAW and KEOMA star Franco Nero – along with a screenplay co-written by Tito Carpi (LAST CANNIBAL WORLD), insane underwater stunts by Ramón Bravo (ZOMBIE) and an outstanding score by Guido & Maurizio De Angelis (SLAVE OF THE CANNIBAL GOD) – for a high-speed, double-barreled, shark-punching blast: In a Mexican seaside village, a reclusive fisherman (Nero) with a haunted past battles cold-blooded treasure hunters to retrieve $100 million from an underwater grotto infested with killer sharks.
Werner Pochath (COP GAME), Jorge Luke (TREASURE OF THE AMAZON), Eduardo Fajardo (DJANGO) and Enzo himself co-star in this "gritty action adventure that roars to life with weird audacity" (Oh, The Horror!), now scanned in 4K from the only surviving film elements, plus a Bonus Soundtrack CD and Special Features that include the first-ever on-camera reunion/reminiscence with Castellari and Nero.
