Hammer Films has provided a promotional video for the recent 4K restoration of Val Guest's The Men of Sherwood Forest (1954), starring Don Taylor, Reginald Beckwith, Eileen Moore, David King-Wood, and Douglas Wilmer. A 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray combo pack release is scheduled to arrive on the market this November.
Description: With King Richard (Patrick Holt) held captive in Germany, his brother, the prince, aspires to the throne of England. In support of Richard, Sir Nigel Saltire (Douglas Wilmer) requests help from nobleman and outlaw Robin Hood (Don Taylor) to locate secret plans regarding Richard's return. Although Robin is suspected in a recent murder, he learns that the actual killers, Dicken and Hobbes, hold the plans. Robin kidnaps the men, who confess that a mysterious knight hired them to steal the plans.
