Blu-ray Sales: September 14-20: Jurassic World Rebirth Still Roaring in Second Week

Posted September 27, 2025 04:55 PM by Sean Greenwood

For the week that ended on September 20th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Jurassic World Rebirth remained on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week. The seventh film in the Jurassic Park franchise opened in July 2025 to a mixed critical reception, but as ever, the dinosaurs are critic-proof when it comes to the box office, where the film has grossed over $339 million domestically and over $867 million globally. This week, Jurassic World Rebirth had an HD share of 56%, with 19% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to make it the week's top 4K UHD title.

Remaining in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart in its second week is Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Ballerina (2025). A spin-off from the John Wick series of action films, Ballerina opened in June 2025 after a year of delays and reshoots, finding itself amidst a crowded summer marketplace. Despite these challenges, the film received broadly positive reviews and while it never topped the box office, it has managed to gross over $58 million domestically and over $137 million worldwide against a reported $90 million budget. This week, Ballerina sold 71% as many Blu-ray units as Jurassic World Rebirth, with an HD share of 59% and 23% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Coming in third on the Blu-ray-only chart is Walt Disney Home Entertainment's TRON. The 1982 sci-fi film and its 2010 sequel TRON: Legacy (which came in at No. 5 on the Blu-ray-only chart) both received 4K UHD upgrades this week, with Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos audio remixes and in SteelBook packaging. This week, TRON sold 21% as many Blu-ray units as Jurassic World Rebirth, with a perfect HD share of 100% and 99% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the Blu-ray-only chart, the Criterion Collection's This Is Spinal Tap, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD this week, came in at No. 6, while Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Krull, another 4K UHD upgrade, came in just outside the top ten at No. 11. Finally, Kino Lorber's Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Night of the Juggler came in at No. 19. Elsewhere on the UHD Sellers chart, Universal's 4K UHD upgrade for Cinderella Man 4K came in at No. 12 on that chart.
