Music Box Films is preparing a Blu-ray release of Sarah Friedland's Familiar Touch (2024), starring Andy McQueen, Carolyn Michelle, H. Jon Benjamin, and Kathleen Chalfant. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on October 28.
Description: Ruth (Kathleen Chalfant), an older woman with dementia, leaves her home for a date. But what she thinks is a hotel turns out to be an assisted living facility, and she must contend with an array of new faces, routines, and surroundings. This coming-of-old-age story compassionately follows the winding path of Ruth's shifting memories and desires while remaining rooted in her sage perspective.
