For the week of September 15th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has a Blu-ray release for Kyle Hausmann-Stokes' My Dead Friend Zoe, starring Sonequa Martin-Green, Natalie Morales, Gloria Reuben, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris.

Description: MY DEAD FRIEND ZOE is a dark comedy drama that follows the journey of Merit, a U.S. Army veteran who is at odds with her family thanks to the presence of Zoe, her dead best friend from the Army. Despite the persistence of her VA group counselor and the tough love of her mother, Merit's cozy-dysfunctional friendship with Zoe keeps the duo insulated from the world. That is until Merit's estranged grandfather begins to lose his way and is in need of the one thing he refuses...help.

Universal's Blu-ray of My Dead Friend Zoe contains deleted scenes and the featurette A Veteran's Story: The Journey of MDFZ.

Also coming from Universal is a 4K UHD upgrade for Ron Howard's Cinderella Man (2005), starring Russell Crowe, Renée Zellweger, Paul Giamatti, Craig Bierko, Paddy Considine and Bruce McGill. Sourced from a new 4K master, Universal presents Cinderella Man with Dolby Vision HDR and a new Dolby Atmos audio remix. Extras include three audio commentaries, deleted scenes with optional commentary, several featurettes, vintage footage of the real Braddock vs. Baer boxing match and more. A legacy Blu-ray copy is also included.

Then from Universal is a 4K UHD upgrade for James Watkins' Speak No Evil (2024), starring James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Aisling Franciosi, Alix West Lefler, Dan Hough and Scoot McNairy. Sourced from a 4K master, Universal presents Speak No Evil with Dolby Vision HDR and the film's Dolby Atmos audio. Extras include audio commentary with James Watkins and the featurettes Nuclear Families, A Horrifying Crescendo and The Farmhouse of Horrors.

New on Blu-ray from Arrow Video is John Adams, Zelda Adams and Toby Poser's Hellbender, starring Zelda Adams, Toby Poser, Lulu Adams, John Adams, Rinzin Thonden and Khenzom.

Description: The sixth feature film from acclaimed filmmakers The Adams Family (The Deeper You Dig), Hellbender is a spell-binding folk horror and coming-of-age story, boiling over with adolescent rage and wicked witchcraft.

Teenager Izzy lives in isolation with Mother because she has a rare immune disorder. Or so she is told. After befriending local girl Amber, Lizzy begins to question the reality of her disease. And when she eats a live worm as part of a teenage game, she soon develops a ravenous hunger for living things, learning that she is the latest in a line of "hellbenders", supernatural beings who possess immensely powerful abilities.

Featuring a fantastic punk rock soundtrack with songs from the family's band, H6LLB6ND6R, this truly unique film expertly blends beautiful and naturalistic cinematography, impressive and stylistic VFX and stunning performances from real-life mother and daughter team, Zelda Adams and Toby Poser.

Sourced from an HD master, Arrow presents Hellbender with lossless original stereo audio. Extras include audio commentary with filmmakers Toby Poser, John Adams, Zelda Adams and Lulu Adams, a video essay by filmmaker Jen Handorf, a featurette on the film's visual effects with VFX artist Trey Lindsay, behind-the-scenes footage, Zelda Adams' short film Fort Worden (2021), four music videos and a trailer for the film. Also included is an "illustrated collector's booklet featuring new writing on the film by Natasha Ball and Kat Hughes".

New on Blu-ray from Oscilloscope Laboratories is Joel Potrykus' Vulcanizadora, starring Joshua Burge, Joel Potrykus, Bill Vincent, Melissa Blanchard and Solo Potrykus.

Description: Two friends trudge through a Michigan forest with the intention of following through on a disturbing pact. Once their plan goes shockingly awry, the haunting consequences of their failure can't stay hidden for long.

Oscilloscope's Blu-ray of Vulcanizadora contains audio commentary, a behind-the-scenes documentary, deleted scenes, the short film Pets (2025) and a theatrical trailer.

New on Blu-ray from Acorn Media is The Brokenwood Mysteries: Series 11 (2025), starring Neill Rea and Fern Sutherland. The three-disc set contains all six episodes.

Turning to catalog titles, Kino Lorber have a number, as usual. Amongst them is Edward Sedgwick's Father Brown, Detective (1934), starring Walter Connolly, Paul Lukas, Gertrude Michael, Robert Loraine, Halliwell Hobbes and Una O'Connor. Kino's Blu-ray contains an audio commentary with professor and film scholar Jason A. Ney.

Also on Blu-ray from Kino is Géza von Radványi's Mädchen in Uniform (1958), starring Lilli Palmer, Romy Schneider, Therese Giehse, Blandine Ebinger, Adelheid Seeck and Gina Albert. Kino's Blu-ray contains an audio commentary with writer and filmmaker Drew Burnett Gregory.

Then on Blu-ray from Kino is Cliff Owen's The Wrong Arm of the Law (1963), starring Peter Sellers, Lionel Jeffries, Bernard Cribbins, Davy Kaye, Nanette Newman and Bill Kerr. Sourced from a 2023 4K scan of the original camera negative, Kino's Blu-ray of The Wrong Arm of the Law contains a new audio commentary by film journalist Laurence Lerman, an interview with screenwriter John Antrobus and a theatrical trailer. Coming to Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Kino is Robert Butler's Night of the Juggler (1980), starring James Brolin, Cliff Gorman, Richard S. Castellano, Linda Miller, Barton Heyman and Sully Boyar. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Kino presents Night of the Juggler with a choice of DTS-HD MA 5.1 or 2.0 audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include a new audio commentary by film historians Steve Mitchell and Nathaniel Thompson, new interviews with actors James Brolin and Julie Carmen, a new featurette with critic and author Daniel Kremer and a newly remastered theatrical trailer. Finally from Kino is a Blu-ray for Agnieszka Holland's Angry Harvest (Bittere Ernte) (1985), starring Armin Mueller-Stahl, Wojciech Pszoniak, Gerd Baltus, Anita Höfer, Hans Beerhenke and Käte Jaenicke. Kino's Blu-ray contains an audio commentary with film critic Bilge Ebiri.

Also this week, Radiance Films have two catalog titles coming to Blu-ray. First up is Carlos Saura's Los golfos (The Delinquents) (1960), starring Manuel Zarzo, Luis Marín, Óscar Cruz, Juanjo Losada, Ramón Rubio and Rafael Vargas. Sourced from a new 4K master, Radiance presents Los golfos with a new introduction by author and former director of Filmoteca Catalunya Esteve Riambau, a new interview with filmmaker and curator Ehsan Khoshbakht, censored scenes along with notes from the censorship committee and Carlos Saura and Saura's short films La llamada (1955) and La tarde del domingo (1957). Limited edition content includes a "booklet featuring new writing by Mar Diestro-Dópido, reprints of original documents including committee notes on the script and a detailed breakdown of the restoration process".

Also coming to Blu-ray from Radiance is Tokuzô Tanaka's The Betrayal (大殺陣 雄呂血) (1966), starring Kaoru Yachigusa, Ichirô Nakatani, Raizô Ichikawa, Shiho Fujimura, Takuya Fujioka and Saburô Date. Sourced from an HD master provided by Kadokawa, Radiance presents The Betrayal with LPCM Mono audio and optional, newly-translated English subtitles. Extras include select-scene audio commentary by Japanese film historian Tom Mes and new visual essays by Mes and film critic Philip Kemp. Limited edition content includes a "booklet featuring new writing by Alain Silver".

Coming to remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Lionsgate Home Entertainment is Ivan Reitman's Meatballs (1979), starring Bill Murray, Harvey Atkin, Kate Lynch, Russ Banham, Kristine DeBell and Sarah Torgov. Sourced from a new 4K master, Lionsgate presents Meatballs with a choice of original mono or new 2025 stereo audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. New extras include the featurettes Ivan Reitman: Head Counselor, The Sound of Summer, Establishing Shot with Jason Reitman and Casting Camp (original 1978 casting sessions), as well as filmmaker commentary, the feature-length documentary Summer Camp: The Making of Meatballs and a theatrical trailer.

Also coming from Lionsgate is a new 4K UHD edition of Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig's Daybreakers (2009), starring Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman, Sam Neill and Vince Colosimo. Originally released in 2019, this new edition of Daybreakers adds several extras, including Building the World of Daybreakers, Art and Craft: The Actors of Daybreakers, a gag reel, art department and lighting tests, costume, hair, and make-up Tests a first Subsider test, make-up effects tapes, On the Set of Daybreakers and more, while also including filmmaker audio commentary, a feature-length making of documentary, the short film The Big Picture and a theatrical trailer.

Note: Lionsgate's new 4K UHD releases of Meatballs and Daybreakers are available only in SteelBook packaging and from the Lionsgate Limited website.

Coming to Blu-ray from the Criterion Collection is Lizzie Borden's Born in Flames (1983), starring Becky Johnston, Honey, Adele Bertei, Jeanne Satterfield, Flo Kennedy and Pat Murphy. Sourced from a 2K master (supervised and approved by Lizzie Borden), Criterion presents Born in Flames with LPCM Mono audio. Extras include an introduction by Borden, a new audio commentary with Borden and cast and crew members, and Borden debut feature Regrouping (1976). Also included are essays by film scholar Yasmina Price and author So Mayer.

Coming to remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Criterion is Rob Reiner's This Is Spinal Tap (1984), starring Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, Rob Reiner, June Chadwick, Tony Hendra. Sourced from a new 4K master (supervised and approved by Rob Reiner), Criterion presents This Is Spinal Tap with a choice of DTS-HD MA 5.1 or alternate LPCM 2.0 Stereo audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include three audio commentary tracks, while two Blu-rays also include a conversation between Rob Reiner and actor Patton Oswalt, The Cutting Room Floor (featuring ninety-eight minutes of outtakes), Spinal Tap: The Final Tour (1982) and excerpts from The Return of Spinal Tap (1992), interviews with the band for the 2009 album Back from the Dead, music videos, "media appearances" and trailers. Also included is an essay by critic Alex Pappademas.

Coming to 4K UHD from Walt Disney Home Entertainment is Steven Lisberger's TRON (1982), starring Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, David Warner, Cindy Morgan, Barnard Hughes and Dan Shor. Sourced from a new 4K master, Disney presents TRON with Dolby Vision HDR and a new Dolby Atmos audio remix. Extras include audio commentary, the feature-length documentary The Making of TRON, deleted scenes, the featurettes The Tron Phenomenon and Photo Tronology and more. Also coming to 4K UHD from Disney is Joseph Kosinski's TRON: Legacy (2010), starring Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain and Beau Garrett. Sourced from a new 4K master, Disney presents TRON: Legacy with Dolby Vision HDR and a new Dolby Atmos audio remix. Extras include the featurettes The Next Day: Flynn Lives Revealed, First Look at TRON: Uprising, Launching the Legacy, Visualizing TRON, Installing the Cast and Disc Roars, as well as a music video for Daft Punk's "Derezzed". Finally this week, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has a 4K UHD upgrade for Peter Yates' Krull (1983), starring Ken Marshall, Lysette Anthony, Freddie Jones, Francesca Annis, Alun Armstrong and David Battley. Sourced from a new 4K master (approved by cinematographer Peter Suschitzky), Sony presents Krull with a choice of original 2.0 Surround or 5.1 audio tracks, with Dolby Vision HDR and an additional Dolby Atmos remix option on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include audio commentary with Peter Yates, Ken Marshall, Lysette Anthony and editor Ray Lovejoy, behind-the-scenes commentary, the featurette Journey to Krull and a theatrical trailer.
