Film Masters will release on Blu-ray Edgar G. Ulmer's The Strange Woman (1946), starring Hedy Lamarr, George Sanders, Louis Hayward, Gene Lockhart, and Hillary Brooke. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on September 9.
Description: This period piece set in 1820s Maine follows the exploits of Jenny Hager (Hedy Lamarr), a woman with an ambitious nature. When her father abuses her, she creates her own opportunities, using men to further her status in her small town. With a cast that includes George Sanders, Louis Hayward, Gene Lockhart, and Rhys Williams, cult director Edgar G. Ulmer weaves a tale of intrigue and seduction. This is a Limited Edition release and includes a full commentary by Bernard M. Prokop.
