DIRECTED BY... JOHN HUSTON

A towering figure in Hollywood, John Huston was a master storyteller and Academy Award-winning director whose career spanned decades and defined classic cinema.

This special 3-Disc Limited Edition Hardbox brings together three of his later directing efforts, with NEW and archival Special Features on each film:

• WISE BLOOD (1979)
• UNDER THE VOLCANO (1984)
• THE DEAD (1987)

FRANKIE AND JOHNNY

Garry Marshall directs Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer, reuniting after Scarface, in the joyous '90s romcom adapted by Terrence McNally from his own stage play. After Frankie, a waitress at an N.Y.C. coffee shop, suffers a series of hurtful relationships, the last thing she's looking for is a new man… until he comes looking for her.

AFTERGLOW

This heartfelt drama, written and directed by Alan Rudolph and produced by Hollywood legend Robert Altman, follows two married couples whose lives become intertwined, with infidelity threatening to tear them all apart.

K-PAX

Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges star in the 2000s sci-fi oddity based on Gene Brewer's 1995 novel. It follows Prot, who appears human but claims to be an alien, and his psychiatrist, who becomes fixated on Prot's influence on his patients, friends, and family.

LULU ON THE BRIDGE

Harvey Keitel, Mira Sorvino, and Willem Dafoe star in this twisted drama written and directed by the great Paul Auster in his directing debut. A musician is hit by a stray bullet and finds a mysterious stone, which leads to a romance with an aspiring actress and a series of strange, dreamlike events.

THE QUIET AMERICAN

Acting royalty Michael Caine and Brendan Fraser star alongside Do Thi Hai Yen in this heavy-hitting political drama shot on location in Vietnam, based on the bestselling novel by Graham Greene. Michael Caine received nominations for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA for Best Actor for his performance, with the film winning the AFI award for Movie of the Year.

HALF NELSON

Ryan Gosling stars as a high school teacher with a drug addiction in this 2006 indie drama that saw him nominated for an Academy Award. Acclaimed by critics and audiences worldwide, the Chicago Sun-Times called the film a "masterpiece", awarding the film four stars out of four, and Paste Magazine named it #16 in their "50 Best Movies of the Decade" list.
