For the week of July 28th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment has a Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for Jake Schreier's Thunderbolts* (2025), starring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lewis Pullman, David Harbour and Wyatt Russell.

Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes with Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker. After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission. Forced to confront the darkest corners of their pasts, will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite before it's too late?

Disney's 4K UHD release of Thunderbolts* contains Dolby Vision HDR and the film's Dolby Atmos audio. Extras include audio commentary by Jake Schreier, as well as the featurettes Around the World and Back Again, Assembling a Team to Rememberand All About Bob, Sentry & The Void, along with a gag reel and deleted scenes. In addition to standard packaging, a Walmart Exclusive Blu-ray with Alternate Pop-up Artwork and a Limited Edition 4K UHD SteelBook will also be available. New on Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is Wes Anderson's The Phoenician Scheme, starring Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks and Bryan Cranston.

Description: Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and "one of Wes Anderson's funniest movies" (Robert Ebert, Brian Tallerico), THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME follows Anatole "Zsa-zsa" Korda (Benicio del Toro; Sicario) – ruthless, unscrupulous, one of the richest men in Europe – who is constantly fighting for his life. During the final stages of a vast, decades-long, career-defining business project, Korda survives a sixth assassination attempt and must appoint a successor: his long-estranged daughter Liesl (Mia Threapleton; Shadows) – a nun. With personal tutor Bjorn (Michael Cera; Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) in tow, the trio set off on a globetrotting adventure to achieve Korda's epic mission.

The thrilling comedy also boasts a critically acclaimed ensemble cast including Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump), Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad"), Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal), Mathieu Amalric (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction), Scarlett Johansson (Jurassic World Rebirth), Richard Ayoade ("The IT Crowd"), Rupert Friend (The French Dispatch), Hope Davis (American Splendor), and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange).

Universal's Blu-ray releases of The Phoenician Scheme contain the film's Dolby Atmos audio, with Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include the four-part featurette Behind The Phoenician Scheme.

New on Blu-ray from Shudder is Kane Senes and Hannah Barlow's Sissy, starring Aisha Dee, Victoria Hopkins, Yerin Ha, Hannah Barlow, Emily De Margheriti and Daniel Monks.

Description: Invited away on a hen's weekend, Sissy is stuck in a remote cabin with her high school bully...and a taste for revenge. Cecilia (SISSY) and Emma were tween-age BFFs who were going to grow old together and never let anything come between them. That is, until Emma's new friend Alex did just that. When Cecilia became the target of Alex's bullying, it forced Cecilia and Emma apart. Twelve years later, Cecilia is a successful influencer living the dream... until she runs into Emma for the first time in over a decade and her world is turned upside down. Darkly comedic and unnervingly savage, SISSY is a satirical look at millennial self-victimisation in the social media age.

Shudder's Blu-ray of Sissy contains audio commentary by Kane Senes and Hannah Barlow, the making of featurette Killer Influence along with eight behind-the-scenes featurettes, a storyboard comparison, image gallery and a booklet with an essay by Fangoria staff writer Amber T.

New on Blu-ray from Brainstorm Media is Ivan Sen's Limbo (2023), starring Simon Baker, Rob Collins, Natasha Wanganeen, Nicholas Hope, Mark Coe and Joshua Warrior.

Description: From the director of Mystery Road and Goldstone. Jaded police detective Travis (Simon Baker) arrives in the remote Australian Outback town of Limbo to investigate the cold case murder of a local Indigenous girl 20 years ago. As truths about the crime begin to unfold, Travis gains new insight into the unsolved case from the victim's fractured family, the surviving witnesses, and the reclusive brother of the chief suspect.

Shot in starkly beautiful black and white, Limbo is a penetrating modern noir and a poignant, intimate journey into the complexities of loss. Writer-director Ivan Sen, one of Australia's foremost Indigenous filmmakers, deftly wields the police procedural to chart the impact of the justice system on Indigenous families in Australia.

Brainstorm Media's Blu-ray of Limbo contains interviews with Ivan Sen, Simon Baker, Rob Collins, Natasha Wanganeen, Nicholas Hope and associate producer Elaine Crombie, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and a trailer. Also included is a booklet with new writing by film critic and historian Alexandra Heller-Nicholas.

New on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber is Antonio and Marco Manetti's The Diabolik Trilogy (2021-2023), a three-disc box set with the Blu-ray premieres of the films Diabolik and its sequels Diabolik: Ginko Attacks and Diabolik: Who Are You?.

Based on the iconic Italian comic book series, this new trilogy of Diabolik feature films - Diabolik, Diabolik: Ginko Attacks!, and Diabolik: Who Are You? - follows the master thief (Luca Marinelli of Martin Eden in the first entry, Giacomo Gianniotti of Grey's Anatomy in the second and third) and his beautiful accomplice Eva Kant (Miriam Leone) in a series of increasingly daring capers. Previously adapted as Danger: Diabolik by Mario Bava in 1968, these new adaptations return to the comic's noirish roots, while delivering all of the danger, sex appeal, and eye-popping production design that's demanded of a Diabolik tale. Also starring the legendary Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Reloaded).

Kino's release of The Diabolik Trilogy contains making of featurettes for Diabolik: Ginko Attacks and Diabolik: Who Are You?, as well as a VFX breakdown and trailers.

Also from Kino are three 4K UHD upgrades. First up is Bob Giraldi's Hiding Out (1987), starring Jon Cryer, Keith Coogan, Annabeth Gish, Oliver Cotton, Claude Brooks and Tim Quill. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative by StudioCanal, Kino presents Hiding Out with a choice of lossless 2.0 or 5.1 audio tracks and in 4K SDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include three new audio commentaries: one with Bob Giraldi (moderated by Black Mansion Films producer Heather Buckley), another with film historians Steve Mitchell and Nathaniel Thompson and a third with film historian Jarret Gahan, as well as new interviews with Jon Cryer and Annabeth Gish, along with the film's theatrical trailer.

Also from Kino is a 4K UHD upgrade for Tamra Davis' Billy Madison (1995), starring Adam Sandler, Darren McGavin, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, Bradley Whitford, Josh Mostel and Norm Macdonald. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Kino presents Billy Madison with a choice of lossless 5.1 or 2.0 audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include a new audio commentary by author and filmmaker Bryan Connolly and The Billy Gilmore Podcast host Wilson Smith, along with legacy audio commentary by Tamra Davis, deleted scenes and outtakes. Then from Kino is a 4K UHD upgrade for Reb Braddock's Curdled (1996), starring Angela Jones, William Baldwin, Bruce Ramsay, Lois Chiles, Barry Corbin and. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Kino presents Curdled with a choice of lossless 5.1 or 2.0 audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include two new audio commentaries: one with Angela Jones, Reb Braddock and co-writer John Maass and another with film historian and author Dwayne Epstein, as well as a new interview with Angela Jones. Also included is an audio commentary with Braddock and Maass from 2004, an intro and outro by executive producer Quentin Tarantino, a behind-the-scenes featurette, two versions of the Curdled short film, television playback pieces, deleted scenes, Danza Macabra rehearsals and a theatrical trailer.

New on Blu-ray from Music Box Films (in association with Doppelganger Releasing) is Alex Thompson's Rounding, starring Namir Smallwood, Alex Wilson, Cheryl Lynn Bruce, Ed Kross, Michael Potts and Edwin Linker.

Description: After a traumatic incident, a driven young medical resident transfers to a rural hospital for a fresh start, but the demons of his past start to catch up to him when he becomes consumed by the case of a patient with mysterious symptoms. Director Alex Thompson assembles a strong ensemble of veteran character actors in this humanist and unconventional genre vision.

Music Box Films' Blu-ray of Rounding contains an audio commentary with Alex Thompson and editor Mike Smith, a behind-the-scenes featurette, interviews with Alex Thompson, co-writer Christopher Thompson and actors Namir Smallwood, Sidney Flanigan and Michael Potts, deleted scenes, outtakes and a theatrical trailer.

New on Blu-ray from Cartuna is Matt Barats' Cash Cow, starring Matt Barats, Ana Fabrega, Brad Howe, and Bardia Salimi. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 29.

Description: In the fall of 2020, a struggling actor explores early Mormon historical sites as he anxiously awaits the national broadcast of his Domino's Pizza commercial.

Cartuna's Blu-ray of Cash Cow contains director's commentary, Here We Have Idaho, The High Rise Beckons, an LA screening promo and a trailer.

Turning to catalog titles, Blue Underground has two films by Jesús Franco coming to 4K UHD: The Blood of Fu Manchu (1968), starring Christopher Lee, Richard Greene, Howard Marion-Crawford, Götz George, Maria Rohm and Loni von Friedl and its sequel, The Castle of Fu Manchu (1969), starring Christopher Lee, Richard Greene, Howard Marion-Crawford, Günther Stoll, Rosalba Neri and Maria Perschy. Both films are sourced from new 4K scans of their original camera negatives, presented with DTS-HD MA Mono audio tracks and in Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD discs. New extras include audio commentary on both films by film historians Troy Howarth and Nathaniel Thompson, interviews on both films with author Stephen Thrower (Murderous Passions: The Delirious Cinema of Jesús Franco, expanded poster and still galleries for both films and RiffTrax editions of both films. Also included are interviews with Jesús Franco, producer Harry Alan Towers, and actors Christopher Lee and Tsai Chin, with The Blood of Fu Manchu also containing an interview with Shirley Eaton. Trailers are also included with both films.

Also this week, Vinegar Syndrome has four titles coming to 4K UHD at retailers. They are:

John D. Hancock's Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971), starring Zohra Lampert, Barton Heyman, Kevin O'Connor, Gretchen Corbett, Alan Manson and Mariclare Costello. Sourced from a new 4K master, Vinegar Syndrome presents Let's Scare Jessica to Death with DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono audio and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include two audio commentaries: one with John D. Hancock and another with authors Kim Newman and Sean Hogan, interviews with Hancock, co-producer Bill Badalato, composer Orville Stoeber and Nightmare USA author Stephen Thrower. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Vinegar Syndrome presents The Golden Child with DTS-HD MA 5.1 and 2.0 audio options audio and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. William Friedkin's Jade (1995), starring Linda Fiorentino, David Caruso, Chazz Palminteri, Angie Everhart, Richard Crenna and Michael Biehn. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Vinegar Syndrome presents both the theatrical and director's cuts of Jade with DTS-HD MA 5.1 and 2.0 audio options and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras audio commentary on the theatrical cut with writer Jennifer Moorman, interviews with screenwriter Joe Eszterhas, editor Augie Hess and assistant editor Darrin Navarro, as well as a clip of William Friedkin on The Charlie Rose Show. Bob Saget's Dirty Work (1998), starring Norm Macdonald, Jack Warden, Artie Lange, Traylor Howard, Don Rickles and Christopher McDonald. Sourced from a new 4K master, Vinegar Syndrome presents both the PG-13 theatrical and unrated "Dirtier Cut" of Dirty Work with DTS-HD MA 5.1 and 2.0 audio options and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include two audio commentaries: one on the theatrical cut with co-writer Frank Sebastiano and Mike Hunchback and another on the Dirtier Cut with Sebastiano and co-writer / actor Fred Wolf, the documentary Note to Self: Doing Dirty Work, as well as additional interviews with Sebastiano, Wolf, actors Jim Downey, David Koechner, Uni Park and Kevin Farley, assistant director Alan Goluboff, first assistant editor Ryan Folsey and Norm Macdonald's stunt double Brian Jagersky. Coming to 4K UHD from Shout Factory is Vernon Zimmerman's Fade to Black (1980), starring Dennis Christopher, Tim Thomerson, Gwynne Gilford, Norman Burton, Linda Kerridge and Morgan Paull. Sourced from a 2025 4K master, Shout presents Fade to Black with 2.0 mono audio and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include a new audio commentary with film critic Drew McWeeny, along with three legacy audio commentaries: one with Dennis Christopher, another with The Hysteria Continues and a third with film historians Amanda Reyes and Bill Ackerman. Also included are interviews with actors Dennis Christopher, and Marcie Barkin, executive producer Irwin Yablans, stylist Patricia Bunch, composer Craig Safan, editor Barbara Pokras and special effects artist Wayne Beauchamp, an audio interview with Linda Kerridge, a still gallery and a theatrical trailer.

Also coming to 4K UHD from Shout is the first of the label's new line of Hong Kong Cinema Classics: The Jet Li Collection (1993-1994), a ten-disc box set featuring the 4K UHD premieres of five films starring Jet Li: The Legend, The Legend II, Tai Chi Master (all 1993) Fist of Legend and The Bodyguard from Beijing (both 1994). All five films are sourced from new 4K masters and Catonese: DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD discs. Extras include English dub options for Tai Chi Master, Fist of Legend The Bodyguard from Beijing, audio commentaries for all films by James Mudge (Hong Kong film critic at easternKicks), an interview with author Leon Hunt (Kung Fu Masters and East Asian Cinemas) on The Legend, an interview with sound assistants Steven Avila and Trip Brock on The Legend II, the featurettes Tai Chi Madam - The Michelle Yeoh Effect and The Birthplace of Tai Chi, along with interviews with actor Chin Siu-Ho, director Brett Ratner and critic Elvis Mitchell on Tai Chi Master, interviews with director Gordon Chang and professor Aaron Moore on Fist of Legend and an interview with co-writer Gordon Chan on The Bodyguard from Beijing. Finally this week, Shout has a 4K UHD upgrade for Tom Shadyac's Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), starring Jim Carrey, Courteney Cox, Sean Young, Tone Loc, Dan Marino and Noble Willingham. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Shout presents Ace Ventura: Pet Detective with a choice of DTS-HD MA 5.1 or 2.0 audio options and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include audio commentary with Tom Shadyac and a theatrical trailer. In addition to standard packaging, a Limited Edition SteelBook will also be available.
