Blu-ray Sales: June 29-July 5: A Minecraft Movie Beats Warfare in Second Week

For the week that ended on July 5th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's A Minecraft Movie topped the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week. Based on the popular video game series, A Minecraft Movie opened in April 2025 to positive reviews and big box office, eventually totaling over $423 million domestically alone and almost $1 billion worldwide thus far. This week, A Minecraft Movie had an HD share of 55%, with 21% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Debuting in second place is A24's Warfare. The latest film from director Alex Garland, which aspires to be a realistic depiction of modern combat, opened in April 2025 to critical acclaim and eventually grossed a solid $26 million domestically and over $32 million worldwide. This week, Warfare sold 41% as many Blu-ray units as A Minecraft Movie, with a perfect HD share of 100% and 79% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to top the UHD Sellers chart for the week.

Dropping to third place in its second week is Decal Releasing and Neon's The Monkey. Based on a short story by Stephen King about a cursed toy monkey, the film opened in February 2025 to positive reviews and grossed over $39 million domestically and over $68 million worldwide on a reported $10-11 million budget. This week, The Monkey sold 33% as many Blu-ray units as A Minecraft Movie, with an HD share of 43% and 12% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the charts, the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of The Big Heat (1953) came in at No. 13 on the Blu-ray-only chart, while Shout Factory's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release of Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut came in at No. 20.
