Dark Force Entertainment will issue a standard retail Blu-ray edition of Oliver Drake's Ride a Wild Stud (1969), starring Cliff Alexander, Hale Williams, C.C. Chase, andFrenchy Le Boyd. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on August 19.
Description: Directed by veteran B-movie filmmaker Oliver Drake (The Mummy and the Curse of the Jackal), this one was coined as a "rape western". The film follows the real-life Confederate guerilla force of Quantrill's raiders during Civil War time who kidnap women, rape them and imprison them in a brothel...until a cowboy comes to the rescue!
Originally shot on 16mm, Dark Force uncovered the only existing 35mm Internegative blow up to present this drive-in exploitation classic for the very first time in HD.
