British distributors 88 Films have revealed several upcoming Blu-ray releases. Amongst them are: Detonation: Violent Riders (1975), Sex Rider: Wet Highway (1971), Tokyo Emanuelle (1975), and The French Love (1972).
Detonation: Violent Riders
Description: Teruo Ishii's West Side Story, done as a bloody, violent, sexploitative biker gang film. It's the Red Chilis versus the Black Cats, and the chick who just may heal the divide. Directed by Teruo Ishii, and starring Sonny Chiba, Kôichi Iwaki, Tomoko Ai, Junko Matsudaira, and Hiroshi Nawa.

The Cat
Description: An adaptation of the novel Old Cat, by Ni Kuang. A cat from outer space teams up with a young alien girl and her knight, along with an adventure novelist named Wisely, to fight a murderous alien that possesses people.
What follows is an over-the-top combination of body-swap delirium that leans more toward a Hong Kong adaptation of The Hidden than The Cat from Outer Space, but with touches of The Thing, Spaced Invaders, and Aliens! The Cat is an overlooked gem from the golden age of the VHS trading underground, completely remastered and packed with extras.

Her Vengeance
Description: One of the first – and most notorious – of Hong Kong's famously Adults Only Category III films, Her Vengeance stars Pauline Wong (The Blue Jean Monster) as a young woman hunting down the vermin who brutally assaulted her: ears will be sliced off, acid will be thrown and funeral directors will be kept very busy indeed...

Sex Rider: Wet Highway

Mina is suffering last minute nerves on the eve of her wedding day, but when she is involved in a hit-and-run, she is forced to take a diversion from her road to the altar to a deserted lake among the mountains in an attempt to cover her tracks. Tokyo Emanuelle
Description: Kyoko, played by the stunning Kumi Taguchi (Wolf Guy, Deep Throat in Tokyo), heads back home from Paris to Tokyo following a spat with her French lover Pierre in this sensual Japanese riposte to the French erotic classic. After meeting with her old friend Eiko, she is introduced to Maki, a scholar and libertine whose philosophy in the boudoir guides the young woman on her odyssey of sexual reawakening.
Tokyo Emmanuelle was the only film produced by Nikkatsu as part of its Roman Porno range to receive theatrical distribution in the UK back in the 1970s in a re-edited version called Emmanuelle in Tokyo. 88 Films is proud to present the film in its high-definition original cut for the very first time outside of Japan, along with an optional audio track containing the original English dub.
