For the week of April 21st, Walt Disney Home Entertainment has a 4K UHD release for George P. Cosmatos' Tombstone (1993), starring Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Powers Boothe and Michael Biehn. Sourced from a new 4K master, Disney presents Tombstone with DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. An included remastered Blu-ray disc also contains the three-part featurette The Making of Tombstone, the director's original storyboards for the O.K. Corral sequence and trailers and TV spots. Note: As of this writing, Disney's 4K UHD release of Tombstone is only available in SteelBook packaging.

New on Blu-ray from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is Hysteria!: Season One (2024), starring Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, Kezii Curtis, Nikki Hahn, Bruce Campbell, Anna Camp and Julie Bowen.

Description: When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the "Satanic Panic" of the late 1980s, a struggling high school rock band of outcasts realizes they can capitalize on the town's sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings and reported "supernatural activity" triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.

New on Blu-ray from Tribeca Film is Haley Elizabeth Anderson's Tendaberry, starring Kota Johan, Yuri Pleskun, Stella Tompkins, Erika Kutalia and Megan Lee Dejesus.

Description: When her boyfriend returns to Ukraine to be with his ailing father, 23-year-old Dakota navigates heartbreak in the midst of her South Brooklyn universe, creating a lyrical glimpse of young adulthood and a reflection on the anxiety that can arise from not knowing what comes next.

New on Blu-ray from Breaking Glass Pictures is Andrew Kightlinger's Lost on a Mountain in Maine, starring Luke David Blumm, Paul Sparks, Caitlin FitzGerald, Griffin Wallace Henkel, Ethan Slater and Bates Wilder.

Description: The inspiring true story of 12-year-old Donn Fendler who, separated from his family by a fast-moving storm, must fight to stay alive while lost for nine-days in the remote wilderness of northern Maine. Donn's disappearance captures national headlines and sparks a massive search effort attracting hundreds of volunteers, including his own father who fears he may never see his son again.

Turning to catalog titles, Kino Lorber have a number of them coming to Blu-ray and 4K UHD. They are:

Kenneth MacPherson's Borderline (1930), starring Paul Robeson, Eslanda Robeson, Hilda Doolittle, Gavin Arthur, Charlotte Arthur and Blanche Lewin. Sourced from a 2K scan of 35mm materials preserved by the George Eastman Museum, Kino presents Borderline with a new musical score by Paul D. Miller (AKA DJ Spooky) and an audio commentary by film historian Anthony Slide.

Charles Frend's The Cruel Sea (1953), starring Jack Hawkins, Donald Sinden, John Stratton, Denholm Elliott, John Warner and Stanley Baker. Kino's Blu-ray includes an audio commentary by film critic Simon Abrams, an interview with Donald Sinden and a theatrical trailer.

A remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for Colin Higgins' Foul Play (1978), starring Chevy Chase, Goldie Hawn, Burgess Meredith, Dudley Moore, Rachel Roberts and Brian Dennehy. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Kino presents Foul Play with a choice of lossless 5.1 or 2.0 audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include a new audio commentary by entertainment journalists / authors Bryan Reesman and Max Evry, the featurette Fair Play: Remembering Colin Higgins and a theatrical trailer.

A remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for Bryan Gordon's Career Opportunities (1991), starring Jennifer Connelly, Frank Whaley, Dermot Mulroney, Kieran Mulroney, John M. Jackson and Jenny O'Hara. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Kino presents Career Opportunities with a choice of lossless 2.0 or 5.1 audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include a two audio commentary tracks: one by Bryan Gordon and another by Chicago Critics Film Festival producer Erik Childress, interviews with Dermot Mulroney, Kieran Mulroney and director of photography Donald McAlpine, as well as a theatrical trailer.

Finally from Kino is a remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for Phil Alden Robinson's Sneakers (1992), starring Robert Redford, Dan Aykroyd, Ben Kingsley, Mary McDonnell, River Phoenix and Sidney Poitier. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Kino presents Sneakers with a choice of lossless 5.1 or 2.0 audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include a two audio commentary tracks: one by Phil Alden Robinson and co-writers / co-producers Lawrence Lasker and Walter F. Parkes and another by Robinson and cinematographer John Lindley, the documentary The Making of Sneakers and a theatrical trailer.

Coming to Blu-ray from 88 Films is Kinji Fukasaku's Jakoman and Tetsu (ジャコ萬と鉄) (1964), starring Ken Takakura, Tetsurô Tanba, Isao Yamagata, Yôko Minamida, Kumeko Urabe and Wakaba Irie. Sourced from an HD master, 88 Films presents Jakoman and Tetsu with Japanese mono audio and optional, new English subtitles. Extras include new audio commentary by Tom Mes and Jasper Sharp, a new introduction by Mark Schilling and a stills gallery. Also included is a booklet with a new essay by Chris D. and a reversible cover with original and newly commissioned artwork.

Also from 88 Films is a Blu-ray for Pao-Shu Kao's Lady With a Sword (鳳飛飛) (1971), starring Lily Ho, Seok-hoon Nam, Hsieh Wang, Yuen-Man Meng, Lin Ching and Chih Hsien Po. Sourced from an HD master, 88 Films presents Lady With a Sword with Mandarin 2.0 Mono audio and optional, newly-translated English subtitles. Extras include audio commentary by David West a stills gallery. Also included is limited edition slipcover.

Finally from 88 Films is a Blu-ray for Hideo Gosha's Yakuza Wives (極道の妻たち) (1986), starring Kei Satô, Shima Iwashita, Riki Takeuchi, Akiko Kana, Kôjiro Shimizu and Masataka Naruse. Sourced from an HD master, 88 Films presents Yakuza Wives with Japanese mono audio and optional, new English subtitles. Extras include a new introduction by Mark Schilling, a new and exclusive interview with tattoo artist Seiji Mouri, a stills gallery and a trailer. Limited edition content includes a booklet, a reversible cover with original and newly commissioned artwork and an obi strip.

Coming to 4K UHD and remastered Blu-ray from the Criterion Collection is the box set Jean de Florette / Manon of the Spring: Two Films by Claude Berri (1986), starring Yves Montand, Daniel Auteuil, Margarita Lozano, Elisabeth Depardieu, Emmanuelle Béart and Gérard Depardieu. Sourced from 4K masters supervised by director of photography Bruno Nuytten, Criterion presents Jean de Florette and Manon of the Spring (Manon des sources) with DTS-HD MA 5.0 audio, optional, newly-translated English subtitles and in 4K SDR on the 4K UHD discs. Extras include the documentaries The Force of Destiny (2017) and Claude Berri: The Card Dealer (2018), as well as trailers. Also included is an essay by film scholar Sue Harris.

Coming to Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is Captain Planet and the Planeteers: The Complete Franchise (1990-1996). The nine-disc box set contains 113 episodes comprising both Captain Planet and the Planeteers (1990-1992) and the sequel series The New Adventures of Captain Planet (1993-1996) with DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono and Stereo audio.

Coming to 4K UHD from Shout Factory is Craig Zobel's The Hunt (2020), starring Betty Gilpin, Hilary Swank, Ike Barinholtz, Wayne Duvall, Ethan Suplee and Emma Roberts. Sourced from a 4K master, Shout presents The Hunt with a choice of a new Dolby Atmos mix, DTS-HD MA 5.1 or 2.0 audio options and HDR on the 4K UHD disc. New extras include three audio commentaries: one by Craig Zobel and director of photography Darran Tiernan, editor Jane Rizzo, production designer Matt Munn, and stunt coordinator Hank Amos, a second track with Zobel only and a third track by film critic Emily Higgins, as well as new interviews with co-writer Nick Cuse, composer Nathan Barr and actors Wayne Duvall and Reed Birney. The legacy featurettes Crafting The Hunt, Death Scene Breakdowns and Athena vs. Crystal: Hunter Or Hunted? are also included.
