Australian label Imprint Films has provided a promotional trailer for its upcoming Blu-ray release of Sam Wood's Ivy (1947), starring Joan Fontaine, Patric Knowles, Herbert Marshall, Richard Ney, and Cedric Hardwicke. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on April 30.
Description: Golden Age of Hollywood favourite Joan Fontaine stars as the titular Ivy, an Edwardian belle with a dark side, based on the novel The Story Of Ivy.
When Ivy, an Edwardian belle, begins to like Miles, a wealthy gentleman, she is unsure of what to do with her husband Jervis and her lover, Dr. Roger. She makes a plan to poison her husband. Directed by three-time Academy Award nominated filmmaker Sam Wood (Goodbye, Mr. Chips).
