For the week that ended on March 22nd, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Moana 2 debuted atop both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. After Moana grossed over $687 million worldwide back in 2016, Disney planned to continue the story via a miniseries, but made the pivot to a theatrical film in February 2024 after viewing early footage, The sequel opened in November that year to mixed reviews, but became a financial juggernaut, taking in over $460 million domestically and over $1.059 billion worldwide (thus far!), becoming the third highest-grossing film of 2024, behind only Disney's own Deadpool & Wolverine and Inside Out 2. This week, Moana 2 had an HD share of 50%, with just 8% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, which was only available as a Limited Edition SteelBook.

Remaining in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart in its seventh week is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Wicked (2024). The hotly anticipated film adaptation of the hit 2003 musical topped the box office on its first weekend in November 2024, en route to over $473 million domestically and over $744 million globally. Upon opening, the film was revealed to adapt only part of the story, and a sequel, Wicked: For Good, is set to release November 2025. The film earned ten Oscar nominations and won two, for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design. This week, Wicked sold 30% as many Blu-ray units as Moana 2, with an HD share of 49% and 17% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to the Criterion Collection's release of Godzilla vs. Biollante. Previously released on Blu-ray in 2012, Criterion's releases are sourced from a new 4K master and mark the film's debut on the 4K UHD format. This week, Godzilla vs. Biollante sold 28% as many Blu-ray units as Moana 2, with an HD share of 100% and 72% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to make it the week's top 4K UHD release.

Elsewhere on the charts, Universal's Wolf Man debuted at No. 5 on the Blu-ray-only chart, while Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's The Penguin: The Complete First Season (2024) debuted at No. 6. Outside the top ten, Crunchyroll's Spy x Family: CODE: White and Jujutsu Kaisen: Season 2 - Shibuya Incident (2023) debuted at Nos. 11 and 14, respectively, while Paramount Home Media Distribution's Tulsa King: Season Two (2024) debuted at No. 16 and A24's Babygirl debuted at No. 19.

Elsewhere on the UHD Sellers chart, Shout Factory's Tommy 4K (1975) came in at No. 17.
