Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is preparing Blu-ray releases of two films starring Isabelle Adjani:
Bon voyage (2003) and
Monsieur Ibrahim (2003). Both releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on March 18.
Bon voyage
Description: From Jean-Paul Rappeneau, the director of Cyrano de Bergerac and The Horseman on the Roof, comes this larger-than-life romantic comedy, about a motley group of Parisians who head south to escape the imminent German occupation. Among them is an undercover Nazi spy who's intent on stealing a top-secret formula from a pretty physics student, who has her eye on a handsome murder suspect, who is hot on the trail of the real killer, a celebrated mistress of a spineless government minister. Upon arrival in Bordeaux, they all check into the glamorous Hotel Splendide, where they soon become hopelessly entangled in a madcap misadventure filled with intrigue, mystery, romance and suspense.
Also starring Gerard Depardieu (Cyrano de Bergerac), Virginie Ledoyen (8 Women), Yvan Attal (My Wife Is An Actress), Gregori Derangere (The Officer's Ward) and Peter Coyote (Erin Brockovich), BON VOYAGE is "a glittering jewel of high comedy!" (Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times).
Monsieur Ibrahim
Description: Screen legend Omar Sharif (Hidalgo, and such classics as Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago) is Monsieur Ibrahim, an elderly widower who owns a grocery store in a shabby, working-class section of Paris. His life takes on new meaning when he befriends Momo, a lonely teenage boy (Pierre Boulanger). In Ibrahim, Momo finds the father he never had, a patient man infused with kindness and a wisdom that he freely shares. And Momo awakens within Ibrahim a taste for grand adventure, which takes them on a journey that will change their lives forever.
Directed by François Dupeyron, and also starring Gilbert Melki, Guillaume Gallienne, Anne Suarez, and Isabelle Renauld.
