For the week of February 3rd, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will release Jon M. Chu's Wicked (2024), starring Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey and Ethan Slater.

Description: WICKED, one of the most beloved and enduring musicals on the stage, arrives on your screen as a generation-defining cinematic sensation. The untold story of the witches of Oz, WICKED stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman who has yet to discover her true power, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman who has yet to discover her true heart. The two meet at Shiz University and forge an unlikely friendship – before their lives take different paths following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Their extraordinary adventures will ultimately see them fulfill their destinies as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. Universal's Blu-ray releases of Wicked contain the film's Dolby Atmos audio, with Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include two audio commentaries: One by Jon M. Chu and another by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, deleted and extended scenes and Making Wicked. In addition to standard packaging, a Limited Edition Giftset and Walmart Exclusive SteelBook will also be available.

New on Blu-ray from Universal is Steven C. Miller's Werewolves, starring Frank Grillo, Katrina Law, Lydia Styslinger, Lou Diamond Phillips, Betzaida Landín and Johnathon Schaech.

Description: One year ago, a supermoon event triggered a global outbreak, transforming anyone exposed to moonlight into bloodthirsty werewolves for just one night. Now, as the next supermoon rises, former marine and Global Rapid Response Team Leader Wesley Marshall (Frank Grillo) teams up with scientists Dr. Aranda (Lou Diamond Phillips) and Dr. Amy Chen (Katrina Law) to find a cure before humanity is lost, but as chaos and carnage unfold, Marshall must fight off killer beasts and risk everything to protect his family.

Universal's Blu-ray of Werewolves contains deleted scenes and trailers.

Also new on Blu-ray from Universal is Quantum Leap: Season Two (2023-2024). The three-disc set contains all 13 episodes of the second season. On the same day, Universal will release a box set of Quantum Leap: The Complete Series (2022-2024), a seven-disc set with all 31 episodes from both seasons.

New on Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is Clint Eastwood's Juror #2, starring Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, J.K. Simmons, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris Messina and Gabriel Basso.

Description: "Juror #2" follows family man Justin Kemp (Hoult) who, while serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma…one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict—or free—the accused killer.

New on Blu-ray from Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Searchlight Pictures is Jesse Eisenberg's A Real Pain, starring Kieran Culkin, Jesse Eisenberg, Will Sharpe, Daniel Oreskes, Liza Sadovy and Kurt Egyiawan.

Description: Mismatched cousins, David and Benji, reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the pair's old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.

New on Blu-ray from Shudder is the anthology film V/H/S/Beyond, starring Phillip Andre Botello, Jolene Andersen, Dane DiLiegro and Bix Krieger.

Description: The hit V/H/S/ franchise is back with six bloodcurdling tapes unleash horror in a Sci-Fi-inspired hellscape, pushing the boundaries of fear and suspense.

Shudder's Blu-ray of contains pre-visuals on Live and Let Dive, Libby Letlow's audition tape for Fur Babies, a set time lapse for Stowaway, a making of for Dream Girl, behind the scenes of Stork with IGN and behind the scenes photo galleries.

New on Blu-ray from IFC Films is E.L. Katz's Azrael, starring Samara Weaving, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Vic Carmen Sonne, Sebastian Bull Sarning, Eero Milonoff and Peter Christoffersen.

Description: In a world of silence, a devout, female-led community hunts down a young woman, Azrael, who has escaped imprisonment. When recaptured, she faces sacrifice to an ancient evil, but she fights fiercely for her survival in the wilderness.

IFC Films' Blu-ray of Azrael contains filmmaker commentary, set design and concept art galleries, two featurettes and behind-the-scenes set clips.

New on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber is Paul Schrader's Oh, Canada, starring Richard Gere, Uma Thurman, Michael Imperioli, Jacob Elordi and Caroline Dhavernas.

Description: Aging filmmaker Leonard Fife (Richard Gere), still fiery despite his battle with illness, wants to tell his life story, unfiltered, before it's too late. As the director of acclaimed documentary exposés, he has much to be proud of, but his Vietnam War draft-dodging and his past relationships harbor thorny truths. Leonard sits for an extended interview with his former student Malcolm (Michael Imperioli), relating candid stories about his younger self (Jacob Elordi) in the tumultuous 1960s and beyond. At Leonard's insistence, his wife and indispensable artistic partner, Emma (Uma Thurman), bears witness to it all. His successes are held up against his failings and, as the man is cleansed of the myth, Leonard must confront what is left. Paul Schrader's adaptation of Russell Banks's novel sees him reunited with Gere more than 40 years after American Gigolo, and together they deliver a moving and deeply personal take on this story of an artist reflecting on a lifetime of storytelling.

Kino's Blu-ray of Oh, Canada contains audio commentary by Paul Schrader, a behind-the-scenes featurette, a deleted scene and a theatrical trailer.

Coming to 4K UHD from Kino is a double-feature: Two Spaghetti Western Classics: Kill Them All and Come Back Alone / The Hellbenders 4K (1967-1968), starring Rocco Lerro, Joseph Cotten, Chuck Connors, Norma Bengell, Frank Wolff and Julián Mateos. Sourced from 2020 4K masters by StudioCanal, Kino presents The Hellbenders (1967) and Kill Them All and Come Back Alone (1968) in 4K SDR. Both English and Italian cuts of Kill Them All and Come Back Alone are included, as well as audio commentary by filmmaker Alex Cox on both films and theatrical trailers for both films.

Also coming to 4K UHD from Kino is Andrei Tarkovsky's The Sacrifice (Offret) (1986), starring Erland Josephson, Susan Fleetwood, Allan Edwall, Guðrún Gísladóttir, Sven Wollter and Valérie Mairesse. Sourced from a 2023 4K scan of the original camera negative by the Swedish Film Institute, Kino presents The Sacrifice in 4K SDR. Extras include audio commentary by Layla Alexander-Garrett (Tarkovsky's translator on the set of The Sacrifice), while a Blu-ray contains Michal Leszczylowski's feature-length documentary Directed by Andrei Tarkovsky (1988) as well as an interview with Leszczylowski and trailers.

Finally from Kino this week is a Blu-ray for Ken Russell's Whore (1991), starring Theresa Russell, Antonio Fargas, Benjamin Mouton, Elizabeth Morehead, Daniel Quinn and Sanjay Chandani. Kino's Blu-ray contains a new audio commentary by novelist and critic Tim Lucas, a new interview with screenwriter Deborah Dalton, a video comparison of the film's alternate versions (with commentary by Tim Lucas) and a theatrical trailer.

New on Blu-ray from Well Go USA is Mike Hermosa's The Invisible Raptor, starring Mike Capes, David Shackleford, Caitlin McHugh Stamos, Sandy Martin, Bobby Gilchrist, Richard Riehle and Sean Astin.

Description: After a top-secret experiment goes wrong, a hyper-intelligent invisible raptor escapes the lab and begins wreaking havoc in the surrounding neighborhood. When the creature's identity is uncovered, it soon becomes clear that a disgraced paleontologist—alongside his ex-girlfriend, an unhinged amusement park security guard, and a local celebrity chicken farmer—is the town's only hope for surviving the raptor's ravenous rampage.

Turning to catalog titles, Film Masters has a Blu-ray for Wyott Ordung's Monster From the Ocean Floor (1954), starring Anne Kimbell, Stuart Wade, Dick Pinner, Wyott Ordung, Inez Palange and Jonathan Haze. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Film Masters presents Monster From the Ocean Floor with a new audio commentary by Tom Weaver and The Weaver Players, a new interview with author Justin Humphreys, an archival interview with producer Roger Corman, and both the original theatrical trailer and a re-cut trailer (made from remastered film elements) for the film. Also included is "an illustrated booklet with essay by Tom Weaver".

Coming to Blu-ray from Shout Factory is a double-feature of Jeffrey Lau's A Chinese Odyssey: Parts 1 & 2 (西遊記第壹佰零壹回之月光寶盒 / 西遊記大結局之仙履奇緣) (1995), starring Stephen Chow, Man-Tat Ng, Athena Chu, Yammie Kit-Ying Lam, Karen Mok and Kar-Ying Law. Shout presents both films with a choice of Cantonese: DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono or 5.1 audio tracks and optional, newly-translated English subtitles. Extras include new audio commentaries for both films by Frank Djeng (of the New York Asian Film Festival), new interviews with Gary Bettinson (editor of the book The Cinema of Stephen Chow), Hong Kong academic and filmmaker Gilbert Po, cinematographer Ray Wong and James Mudge (veteran Hong Kong film critic At easternKicks), as well as interviews for both films with Jeffrey Lau and image galleries.

Coming to 4K UHD from Shout is John Hyams' Sick (2022), starring Gideon Adlon, Bethlehem Million, Dylan Sprayberry, Marc Menchaca, Jane Adams and Joel Courtney. Sourced from a 4K master, Shout presents Sick with a choice of Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD MA 5.1 or DTS-HD MA 2.0 audio options and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include three new audio commentaries: One with John Hyams and cinematographer Yaron Levy, another with Gideon Adlon and Beth Million and a third with film critic Alan Cerny. A Blu-ray disc additionally includes new interviews with Marc Menchaca, visual FX artist J.D. McKee, composer Nima Fakhara and sound designer Sam Nacach.

Finally this week, the Criterion Collection has a new standalone 4K UHD edition of Paul Thomas Anderson's Punch-Drunk Love (2002), starring Adam Sandler, Emily Watson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Luis Guzmán, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Lisa Spector. Released on Blu-ray by Criterion in 2016, the film was subsequently released on 4K UHD by Sony as part of the studio's Columbia Classics Collection: Volume 4 box set in 2024. Now the film is released individually by Criterion with a Dolby Atmos audio track and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. The included Criterion Blu-ray features the short piece Blossoms and Blood (2002), an interview with composer Jon Brion, a conversation between curators Michael Connor and Lia Gangitano about the art of Jeremy Blake, additional artwork by Blake, footage from the 2002 Cannes Film Festival, an archival interview with David Phillips (the "pudding guy"), Scopitone films, deleted scenes, a Mattress Man commercial and trailers for the film.
