For the week that ended on January 18th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's The Wild Robot took the top spot on the the Blu-ray-only chart for the first time in its seventh week. The latest film from DreamWorks Animation opened in September 2024 to critical and audience success, topping the box office with over $35 million on its opening weekend and grossing over $143 million domestically and over $324 million globally so far, on a budget of $78 million. This week, The Wild Robot had an HD share of 55%, with 26% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Rising back up into second place this week is Walt Disney Home Entertainment and 20th Century Studios' Alien: Romulus. The seventh film in the long-running Alien franchise opened in August 2024 to positive reviews and topped the box office on its opening weekend with $42 million, eventually grossing over $105 million domestically and over $350 million globally. This week, Alien: Romulus sold 81% as many Blu-ray units as The Wild Robot, with an HD share of 67% and 34% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

But coming in third place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Arrow Video's Blu-ray and 4K UHD re-release of Inglourious Basterds. The seventh film by Quentin Tarantino (or sixth, if you count Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Kill Bill: Volume 2 as a single film) had already been released on 4K UHD back in 2021 by Universal, but Arrow's release added several new extras, as well as a 60-page booklet and collectible packaging. This week, Inglourious Basterds sold 75% as many Blu-ray units as The Wild Robot, with an HD share of 98% and 86% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the charts, Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Snowpiercer (2013), which was released on 4K UHD as an Amazon Exclusive this week, came in at No. 6 on the Blu-ray-only chart.
