Terrifier 3 topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week. The third entry in the slasher franchise sees Art the Clown wreaking havoc over the holiday season, and on its release in October 2024, the film caused a sensation at the box office as it beat Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's
Joker: Folie ŕ Deux, then it its second week in cinemas, to top the weekend with over $18 million. All told, the film has made over $53 million domestically and over $89 million worldwide so far. This week,
Terrifier 3 had an HD share of 65%, with 39% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Rising to again take second place on both charts is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's
The Wild Robot. The latest film from DreamWorks Animation opened in September 2024 to critical and audience success, topping the box office with over $35 million on its opening weekend and grossing over $143 million domestically and over $324 million globally so far, on a budget of $78 million. This week,
The Wild Robot sold 67% as many Blu-ray units as
Terrifier 3, with an HD share of 53% and 12% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Rising to third place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Walt Disney Home Entertainment and 20th Century Studios'
Alien: Romulus. The seventh film in the long-running
Alien franchise opened in August 2024 to positive reviews and topped the box office on its opening weekend with $42 million, eventually grossing over $105 million domestically and over $350 million globally. This week,
Alien: Romulus sold 63% as many Blu-ray units as
Terrifier 3, with an HD share of 63% and 26% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
While the first two spots on the 4K UHD Sellers chart once again went to Paramount Home Media Distribution's
Transformers One and Cineverse's
Terrifier 3, third place on that chart went to the Warner Archive Collection's first 4K UHD release, John Ford's 1956 western
The Searchers, starring John Wayne, Jeffrey Hunter and Vera Miles. That disc sold 46% as many 4K UHD units as
Transformers One and also topped the UHD Market Share chart for the week, with 98% of units sold from the 4K UHD format. The film also came in at No. 12 on the Blu-ray-only chart.
