Australian label Imprint Films has revealed that it is preparing a 4K Blu-ray release of Michael Mann's The Keep (1983), starring Scott Glenn, Ian McKellen, Alberta Watson, Gabriel Byrne, and Jürgen Prochnow. The release is expected to arrive on the market early next year.
Description: Romania, 1941, a detachment of the German Wehrmacht is sent to a mysterious Romanian citadel located at the strategic Dinu pass in the Carpathian Mountains. When soldiers begin to be mysteriously murdered, the S.S. arrives to deal with what is thought to be partisan activity. What the S.S. finds, however, is an evil force trapped within the Keep and a force which will do anything in order to escape.
