Australian label Umbrella Entertainment has revealed exclusive new 4K restorations of Brian Trenchard-Smith's BMX Bandits (1983) and Gregor Jordan's Two Hands (1999). Preliminary release dates for upcoming 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases have not yet been revealed.
Label statement: "We are proud to reveal Umbrella's upcoming 4K restorations of the iconic Australian films TWO HANDS and BMX BANDITS, starring two Oscar-winning titans of our industry Heath Ledger and Nicole Kidman.
Flames, chrome, and piercing rock music introduce us to the electric craziness and dark pulpy humour of Two Hands. Director Gregor Jordan fuses scrabble-addicted killers and uncoordinated bank robbers with an ensemble cast including Ledger, Rose Byrne, and Bryan Brown to create a chemical reaction that burns holes in one-size-fits-all filmmaking.
Bike stunts, endless beaches, and sun gleaming off handlebars introduce us to the effervescent fun of BMX Bandits.
