Independent distributors 88 Films have unveiled several upcoming 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases. Amongst them are: Love Unto Waste (1986), Magnificent Bodyguards (1978), Sex and Zen (1991), and The Haunted House of Horror (1969).
Love Unto Waste
In this 1986 masterpiece by acclaimed director Stanley Kwan, Love Unto Waste is a moody blend of romance, mystery, and urban tension. Tony Leung stars as a listless young man drifting through the glamorous yet hollow nightlife of 1980s Hong Kong. When his close friend is found murdered, Tony and his friends find themselves entangled in an emotional and psychological struggle to make sense of their shattered lives. Chow Yun-Fat delivers a riveting performance as Inspector Lan, a sharp but world-weary detective who delves into the case, forcing Tony to confront not only the crime but his own fragmented relationships. The Haunted House of Horror
Bored by their usual nightlife activities, a group of swinging London twenty-somethings decide to get their kicks by partying in an abandoned 'haunted' house. But when one of their number is found murdered, the gang is dragged into a world of horror.
Starring Frankie Avalon (Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine) and the likes of Richard O'Sullivan (Dick Turpin) and George Sewell (The Vengeance of She), this spooky 60s romp is a stylish tale of murder and secrets served up in Carnaby Street fashions and liberally splattered in blood.

Erotic Ghost Story Trilogy
This triple-bill of paranormal perversion delivers everything you'd want from a Category III movie, plus a bit more besides. In the first tale from Story of Ricki director Ngai Choi Lam, a trio of sexy spirits fall for the same hunk. The second movie, the directorial debut of Peter Ngor has the God of Carnal Desire, God Wu Tung on a quest for revenge after his favourite conquest is zapped by other god like beings and in the third piece from Kai-Ming Lai, a man journeys into the afterlife only to be greeted by a very powerful woman. A trilogy like no other, this one hits the spirited saucy spot.
