For the week of October 21st, Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Marvel Studios have Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases for Shawn Levy's Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Dafne Keen and Jon Favreau.

Description: Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date – Deadpool & Wolverine. A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his home world faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to… oh hell, just watch the movie. Synopses are stupid.

Disney's 4K UHD release of Deadpool & Wolverine contains the film's Dolby Atmos audio and Dolby Vision HDR. Extras include audio commentary by Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds, while the included Blu-ray additionally features deleted scenes, a gag reel, Deadpool's Fun Sack 3 and four featurettes. In addition to standard packaging, a Limited Edition Deadpool 4K UHD SteelBook, Limited Edition Wolverine 4K UHD SteelBook and a Walmart Exclusive Blu-ray with Alternate Artwork will also be available. Also coming from Disney are 4K UHD upgrades for two films from M. Night Shyamalan: The Sixth Sense (1999), starring Bruce Willis, Haley Joel Osment, Toni Collette, Olivia Williams, Trevor Morgan and Donnie Wahlberg, and Signs (2002), starring Mel Gibson, Joaquin Phoenix, Rory Culkin, Abigail Breslin, Cherry Jones and M. Night Shyamalan. Both films have been remastered in 4K from their original camera negatives and will be presented with DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio and HDR. Legacy Blu-ray copies of the films are also included, with extras such as documentaries, featurettes, deleted scenes, trailers and more.

New on Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is Lee Isaac Chung's Twisters, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney and Harry Hadden-Paton.

Description: This summer, the epic studio disaster movie returns with an adrenaline-pumping, seat-gripping, big-screen thrill ride that puts you in direct contact with one of nature's most wondrous—and destructive—forces.

Universal's Blu-ray releases of Twisters contain the film's Dolby Atmos audio, with Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include audio commentary by Lee Isaac Chung, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and several behind-the-scenes featurettes. In addition to standard packaging, a Walmart Exclusive SteelBook will also be available.

New on Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Lionsgate Home Entertainment is Eli Roth's Borderlands, starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Edgar Ramírez, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana Greenblatt and Florian Munteanu.

Description: Lilith, an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas, the universe's most powerful SOB. Lionsagte's Blu-ray releases of Borderlands contain the film's Dolby Atmos audio, with Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include the featurettes Borderlands: From Game to Screen, Meet the Team, All Aboard the Death Choochoo, Bringing Borderlands to the Screen, Badonkadonk Time, Fashion and Action on Pandora and High-Tech Hellscapes. In addition to standard packaging, both an Amazon Exclusive SteelBook and a Walmart Exclusive SteelBook will also be available.

New on Blu-ray from RLJE Films is Chris Nash's In a Violent Nature, starring ‎Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love, Reece Presley, Liam Leone and Charlotte Creaghan.

Description: The enigmatic resurrection, rampage, and retribution of an undead monster in a remote wilderness unleashes an iconic new killer.

RLJE Films' Blu-ray of In a Violent Nature is a two-disc set with over three hours of extras, including film commentaries, storyboard kill galleries, a making of featurette, on-set footage, a Sundance video diary, behind-the-scenes footage and more.

Also new on Blu-ray from RLJE Films is Damian McCarthy's Oddity, starring Carolyn Bracken, Gwilym Lee, Tadhg Murphy, Caroline Menton, Steve Wall and Johnny French.

Description: Following the savage murder of her twin sister, Darcy seeks vengeance by harnessing the power of haunted artifacts against those accountable.

RLJE Films' Blu-ray of Oddity contains behind-the-scenes with the cast and crew, a storyboard to screen featurette and The Making of the Wooden Mannequin Gallery.

New on Blu-ray from Decal Releasing is Tilman Singer's Cuckoo (2024), starring Hunter Schafer, Jan Bluthardt, Marton Csokas, Jessica Henwick, Dan Stevens and Mila Lieu.

Description: CUCKOO tells the story of 17-year-old Gretchen (Schafer) who leaves her American home to live with her father and moves into a resort in the German Alps with his new family. Arriving at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König (Stevens), her father's boss, who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen's mute half-sister Alma. Something doesn't seem right in this tranquil vacation paradise. Gretchen is plagued by strange noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret that also concerns her own family.

Decal Releasing's Blu-ray of Cuckoo contains a making of featurette, video diaries, on-set interviews with Hunter Schafer, Frauke Firl and Dario Mendez Acosta, deleted scenes, a teaser and trailer.

Also new on Blu-ray from Decal Releasing is Mikael Håfström's Slingshot (2024), starring Laurence Fishburne, Casey Affleck, David Morrissey, Emily Beecham, Tomer Capone and Nikolett Barabas.

Description: A psychological thriller starring Casey Affleck and Laurence Fishburne, SLINGSHOT follows an elite trio of astronauts aboard a years-long, possibly compromised mission to Saturn's moon Titan. As the team gears up for a highly dangerous slingshot maneuver that will either catapult them to Titan or into deep space, it becomes increasingly difficult for one astronaut to maintain his grip on reality.

New on Blu-ray from the Criterion Collection is Nuri Bilge Ceylan's About Dry Grasses (Kuru Otlar Üstüne), starring Deniz Celiloğlu, Merve Dizdar, Musab Ekici, Ece Bağcı, Erdem Şenocak and Yüksel Aksu.

Description: The latest existential epic from Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan is a masterclass in characterization, atmosphere, and moral and philosophical inquiry. When he comes under scrutiny for misconduct, cynical middle-school instructor Samet (Deniz Celiloğlu) fears that his punishment will trap him in the snowy, isolated Anatolian village he has grown to despise. The only ray of hope is his relationship with Nuray (Merve Dizdar, who won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival), a fellow teacher who openly challenges Samet's bitter narcissism—yet Samet's friendship with his colleague and roommate, Kenan (Musab Ekici), who also has feelings for Nuray, hangs in the balance. Using hypnotic long takes and other bold formal techniques to convey the murky motives of its Dostoevskian protagonist, About Dry Grasses proves Ceylan to be one of cinema's most incisive investigators of the human condition.

Criterion's Blu-ray of About Dry Grasses contains an interview with Nuri Bilge Ceylan and a trailer for the film.

Also coming from Criterion is a Blu-ray and 4K UHD for Harmony Korine's Gummo (1997), starring Jacob Reynolds, Jacob Sewell, Nick Sutton, Chloë Sevigny, Darby Dougherty and Carisa Glucksman. Sourced from a new 4K master (supervised and approved by Harmony Korine), Criterion presents Gummo with a DTS-HD MA 2.0 Surround audio track and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include a new interview with Harmony Korine, a conversation between Korine and filmmaker Werner Herzog from 1997, an episode of Split Screen with Korine from 2000, and a trailer for the film. New on Blu-ray from Well Go USA is Alexander J. Farrell's The Beast Within (2024), starring Kit Harington, Ashleigh Cummings, Caoilinn Springall, James Cosmo, Andrei Nova and Adam Basil.

Description: After a series of strange events leads her to question her family's isolated life on a fortified compound deep in the English wilds, 10-year-old Willow follows her parents on one of their secret late-night treks to the heart of the ancient forest. But upon witnessing her father undergo a terrible transformation, she too becomes ensnared by the dark ancestral secret they've tried so desperately to conceal.

New on Blu-ray from Magnolia Home Entertainment is Henrik Martin Dahlsbakken's The Arctic Convoy (Konvoi), starring Tobias Santelmann, Anders Baasmo, Heidi Ruud Ellingsen, Preben Hodneland, Adam Lundgren and Jon Ranes.

Description: In 1942, the leader of a convoy carrying vital military supplies to a Norwegian outpost decides to proceed through treacherous, enemy-infested waters despite the recall of their military escort. Fighting for their lives against German air and naval forces, the 35 civilian merchant ships brave brutal Arctic seas to bring much needed support to soldiers on the front lines.

Coming to 4K UHD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is the Columbia Classics Collection: Volume 5 (1926-2019), a fifteen-disc set which contains the 4K UHD premieres of All the King's Men (1949), On the Waterfront (1954), A Man for All Seasons (1966), Tootsie (1982), The Age of Innocence (1993) and Little Women (2019), along with an exclusive bonus 4K UHD disc with The Belle of Broadway (1926) (in HD resolution) and 4K SDR presentations of Ladies of Leisure (1926), The Desert Bride (1928) and The Scarlet Lady (1928). The six main features are presented from 4K scans of their original camera negatives (except for Little Women, which has a 4K digital intermediate) with Dolby Vision HDR and lossless original audio in mono, two-channel surround (The Age of Innocence) or Dolby Atmos (Little Women), along with other sound options. On the Waterfront is presented on three 4K UHD discs in three aspect ratios: 1.66:1, 1.37:1 and 1.85:1, while new extras across the set include audio commentaries (for All the King's Men, Tootsie and Little Women) and featurettes (for all films except The Age of Innocence), as well as legacy bonus content, such as commentaries, interviews, featurettes, trailers and more. Similar to previous Columbia Classics Collection volumes, a "hardbound 80-page book [is also included], featuring in-depth sections about the making of each film within the set via six all-new incisive essays from renowned writers and journalists, plus rare photos from deep within the Columbia Pictures archives". Coming to Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is Robert Harmon's The Hitcher (1986), starring Rutger Hauer, C. Thomas Howell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jeffrey DeMunn, John M. Jackson and Billy Green Bush. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Warner presents The Hitcher with a choice of a new Dolby Atmos remix or original DTS-HD MA 2.0 audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD edition. Extras include audio commentary by Robert Harmon and screenwriter Eric Red, a new interview with Harmon and a theatrical trailer. Also coming to 4K UHD from Warner this week are three recent catalog titles: John Francis Daleyand Jonathan Goldstein's Vacation (2015), starring Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Skyler Gisondo, Steele Stebbins, Chris Hemsworth and Leslie Mann, Nancy Meyers' The Intern (2015), starring Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, Rene Russo, Anders Holm, JoJo Kushner, and Andrew Rannells, and Jeff Tomsic's Tag (2018), starring Ed Helms, Jake Johnson, Annabelle Wallis, Hannibal Buress, Isla Fisher and Rashida Jones. All three films are making their world premieres on 4K UHD.

Coming to remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Arrow Video is the box set Hellraiser: Quartet of Torment (1987-1996), which contains the 4K UHD premieres of Hellraiser (1987) and its sequels Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992) and Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996). Released by Arrow in the UK in 2023, all four films feature 4K remasters from their original negatives by Arrow, with original stereo and 5.1 audio options and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD edition. Extras include the uncut version Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (via standard definition inserts), a workprint version of Hellraiser: Bloodline, new and archival audio commentaries, documentaries, interviews, featurettes, trailers, image galleries and more. Also included is "Ages of Desire, an exclusive 200-page hardback book with new writing from Clive Barker archivists Phil and Sarah Stokes". Coming to 4K UHD from Paramount Home Media Distribution is Jerry Zucker's Ghost (1990), starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Tony Goldwyn, Rick Aviles and Vincent Schiavelli. Sourced from a 4K master, Paramount brings Ghost to 4K UHD with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio. Extras are on an included Blu-ray and consist of a Filmmaker Focus featurette with Jerry Zucker, filmmaker commentary and the featurettes Ghost Stories: The Making of a Classic and Alchemy of a Love Scene.

Coming to 4K UHD from Shout Factory is Robert Zemeckis' Death Becomes Her (1992), starring Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn, Isabella Rossellini, Ian Ogilvy and Adam Storke. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Shout presents Death Becomes Her with DTS-HD MA 2.0 and 5.1 audio options and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include both recent and vintage making of featurettes, a photo gallery and a theatrical trailer.

Also coming to 4K UHD from Shout is Joe Johnston's The Wolfman (2010), starring Benicio del Toro, Emily Blunt, Gemma Whelan, Simon Merrells, Anthony Hopkins and Hugo Weaving. Sourced from a 2024 4K remaster, Shout presents The Wolfman in a three-disc set (2x4K UHD, 1xBD) with both its theatrical and unrated director's cuts, a choice of a new Dolby Atmos remix or original DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio tracks and Dolby Vision HDR on the two 4K UHD discs. New extras include audio commentary by film critic Drew McWeeny (on the unrated director's cut), as well as interviews with folklorist and author Karen Stollznow and makeup effects artist David Elsey, while legacy extras include alternate endings, deleted and extended scenes and four featurettes. In addition to standard packaging, a Shout Factory Exclusive with Additional Alternate Artwork Slipcover and Poster will also be available.

And finally, bringing up the rear this week is Cult Epics' 4K UHD release of Tinto Brass' Cheeky! (Tra(sgre)dire) (2000), starring Yuliya Mayarchuk, Jarno Berardi, Francesca Nunzi, Max Parodi, Mauro Lorenz and Leila Carli. Sourced from a new 4K master, Cult Epics presents Cheeky! with a choice of DTS-HD MA 5.1 or 2.0 tracks in Italian (with English subtitles) or English, with HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras on the 4K UHD disc include audio commentary by critics Eugenio Ercolani and Nathaniel Thompson, as well as trailers for Cheeky! and All Ladies Do It and Frivolous Lola, the two other Tinto Brass films currently available on 4K UHD. In addition to the extras on the 4K UHD disc, an included remastered Blu-ray disc also features a new interview with cinematographer Massimo Di Venanzo, Pino Donaggio's score available as an isolated score extra (in DTS-HD MA 5.1), a vintage backstage featurette, a photo gallery, a teaser trailer Cheeky! and additional trailers for other Tinto Brass films. Also included is an illustrated booklet with Eugenio Ercolani and Domenico Monetti's essay The Cheeks of Controversy - Yuliya Mayarchuk and Tinto Brass. Packaging includes a slipcover and a reversible jacket with original Italian artwork, as well as four full-color lobby card reproductions. In addition to standard packaging, two Cult Epics Store Exclusives with Alternate Artwork will also be available.
