Kino Lorber are preparing a Blu-ray release of Philippe Mora's The Beast Within (1982), starring Ronny Cox, Bibi Besch, Don Gordon, Paul Clemens, and R.G. Armstrong. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on December 10.
Desceription: A teenager experiences growing pains of a most unusual sort in this unforgettable excursion into 1980s body horror! Teenager Michael MacCleary (Paul Clemens), spawn of an unholy union between woman and swamp beast, is on the brink of manhood. And as the inherited evil in his blood gnaws at his soul, Michael must return to the swamp to uncover the disturbing identity of his father—before his unnatural tendencies force him to feed on the locals!
The Beast Within is highlighted by showstopping human-into-monster metamorphoses that make An American Werewolf in London look positively domesticated!
