Pirates 3 Announced for Blu-ray

Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced that 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' will be released for Blu-ray on December 4th, day and date with the DVD release. No technical specs have been announced at this time, though you can expect similar treatment as was given to the first two films (AVC and 24-bit PCM). Extras will be numerous on the two-dics Blu-ray release, including a special "Enter the Maelstrom" BD-J featurette, where viewers will gain an inside look at the scene.

Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) join forces with Capt. Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) to free Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from Davy Jones' locker. Meanwhile, the crew of The Flying Dutchman ghost ship wreak havoc on the Seven Seas. The friends must navigate through dangerous waters to confront infamous Chinese pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat) and, ultimately, they must choose sides in a battle wherein the pirate life hangs in the balance.
