Discotek Media has announced its November batch of Blu-ray releases. They are: Dororo (2007), Electric Dragon 80.000 V (2001), MXC: Most Extreme Elimination Challenge - Volume 1 (2003-2005), Giant Gorg (1984), Groizer X (1976-1977), Kamen Rider V3 (1973-1974), Humanoid Monster Bem (1968-1969), Sgt. Frog: The Complete Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Seasons (2008-2011), and Digimon: Digital Monsters - The Movies (1999-2000).
Dororo
Many years ago, a desperate warlord traded the flesh of his unborn child for the power to rule the world. Today, that child is known as Hyakkimaru—a human weapon forged for the expressed purpose of slaying the forty-eight demons who stole his body. In the aftermath of a gruesome battle, Hyakkimaru has a chance encounter with a petty thief by the name of Dororo. Fascinated by the swordsman, the feisty thief comes along for the ride.
However, the pair soon discover that with every piece of Hyakkimaru's humanity they take back, the closer it draws them to the family that threw him away. Tezuka Osamu's (Astro Boy, Black Jack) legendary feudal fairy tale is brought to life by Director Akihiko Shiota (Don't Look Back) in this action spectacle star- ring Satoshi Tsumabuki (Waterboys) and Ko Shibasaki (Battle Royale)! Back when Dragon Eye Morrison was a kid, a freak transmission tower accident juiced him up with high-voltage superpowers!
