For the week that ended on August 17th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga debuted atop both the the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. The prequel tells the origin story of Imperator Furiosa, a character introduced in Mad Max: Fury Road back in 2015, and while critical reception was positive, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga failed to find an audience when it opened in May 2024, grossing just over $172 million worldwide on a budget reported to be between $168-$233 million. However, the film's fortunes on home video seem brighter, as this week, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga had a great HD share of 72% and 43% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Debuting in second place on both charts is Paramount Home Media Distribution's IF. The family fantasy film is the latest to be helmed by actor-turned-director John Krasinski, who also wrote and produced the film alongside fellow actor Ryan Reynolds. Despite the duo putting together a starry cast in both live-action and voice roles, IF received mixed reviews and also failed to ignite at the box office, taking approximately $190 million worldwide on a reported budget of $110 million. This week, IF sold 28% as many Blu-ray units as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, with an HD share of 48% and just 7% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

And debuting in third place on both charts is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's The Bikeriders. The crime drama opened in June 2024 to mostly positive reviews and grossed over $35 million worldwide on a reported $40 million budget. This week, The Bikeriders sold 18% as many Blu-ray units as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, with an HD share of 54% and 18% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the charts, Universal's Chucky: Season Three (2023-2024) debuted at No. 12 on the Blu-ray-only chart. On the UHD Sellers chart, the Criterion Collection's The Last Emperor 4K, Shout Factory's The Delta Force 4K and Warner's Game Night 4K took Nos. 14-16, respectively.
