Gong Wei is an undercover cop living in mainland China. He is so deep undercover that his own wife and son don't even know he's a cop. After a mid-level gangster nicknamed Blackie is arrested, Wei is ordered by his superiors to help Blackie escape back to Hong Kong in an attempt to gain his trust and infiltrate his gang. When an arms deal goes wrong, Wei attracts the attention of a female Hong Kong detective named Anne Fong who begins investigating him. Things become more complicated for Wei when his own son soon ends up in danger and Wei has no choice but to team up with Anne in order to save his son and stop the gangsters from pulling off a deadly heist.

Bloodbath at the House of Death

A group of six scientists have assembled to test the apparent abundance of supernatural goings-on at the secluded Headstone Manor. No sooner have they set up all of their ghost-catching gadgetry than the hauntings begin: from randy spirits to unexplained manifestations, all the signs of the afterlife incarnate are present. But when members of their party start winding up deceased, it becomes clear that these undead souls aren't very friendly, and all the while the foggy grounds of the manor are being traversed by another mysterious figure...

A riotous British send-up of the fad of paranormal investigation and haunted house films, Ray Cameron's BLOODBATH AT THE HOUSE OF DEATH mixes supernatural thrills with a hearty sense of risqué humor. Boasting the only feature film performance from famed British comedian Kenny Everett and co-starring the legendary Vincent Price (Theatre of Blood), along with Pamela Stephenson (Superman III), Gareth Hunt (TV's Doctor Who), and John Fortune (Match Point), Vinegar Syndrome brings this delightfully spooky horror-comedy to Blu-ray, newly restored in 4K from its 35mm camera negative.

Taking pity on the youngsters, the group offers to let them stay at the house until help arrives. Unbeknownst to the adults, these tots are in fact on the run from an asylum, and they waste no time in getting down to manipulating and then viciously killing their unsuspecting hosts.

FROM SUBLABEL CINEMATOGRAPHE:

Thieves Like Us 4K Blu-ray

In Depression Era Mississippi of the 1930s, three men – Bowie (Keith Carradine, The Long Riders), Chicamaw (John Schuck, McCabe & Mrs. Miller) and T-Dub (Burt Remsen, California Split) – break out of prison before embarking on a bank robbery spree across the southern United States. Along the way, Bowie falls in love with Keechie (Shelley Duvall, Popeye) and plans for a future life without violence, if it doesn't do him in first.

Based on the novel of the same name by Edward Anderson, and adapted for the screen by Joan Tewkesbury (Nashville), Calder Willingham (Rambling Rose) and Robert Altman (who also directed), THIEVES LIKE US is a bullet-riddled romance that's as concerned with the myth building of the American south as it is the very real relationships between its characters. An often overlooked entry into Altman's illustrious career, releasing just a year prior to his magnum opus Nashville (1975), THIEVES LIKE US features a rousing ensemble cast that also includes Louise Fletcher (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and Tom Skerrit (Alien) as well as striking, sun lit, cinematography from noted French director of photograph Jean Boffety (Je T'Aime, Je T'Aime) and would-be iconic costumes by the multi-talented Polly Platt (Paper Moon). Cinématographe is proud to present one of Robert Altman's very best films in its world 4K Blu-ray debut!

Special Features and Technical Specs:
  • New audio commentary with film historian Nathaniel Thompson
  • New interview with screenwriter Joan Tewkesbury
  • Archival commentary with director Robert Altman
  • Archival interview with actor Keith Carradine
  • Theatrical trailer
  • New written essays by film critics Mitchell Beaupre, Marya E. Gates and Carlos Valladares

Joyride

Three disaffected youths in California – couple John (Robert Carradine, The Long Riders) and Mary (Melanie Griffith, Body Double) along with their friend Scott (Desi Arnaz Jr., A Wedding) – abruptly quit their jobs and take a ferry headed to Alaska in the pursuit of a new life running a salmon fishing business. Shortly after arriving, they are robbed, spurring a ripple effect of violence and its repercussions.

An inspired amalgamation of road movie, dark comedy and crime drama, JOYRIDE is a defiantly unclassifiable slice of 70s Americana deftly directed by esoteric genre filmmaker Joseph Ruben (The Pom Pom Girls, The Stepfather) and produced by noted exploitation impresario Samuel Z. Arkoff (The Wild Angels, Boxcar Bertha). Featuring energetic cinematography by Stephen M. Katz (Messiah of Evil, The Blues Brothers), Cinématographe is proud to present this often overlooked gem of 1970s malaise in a new 2K restoration from its 35mm interpositive, making its world blu-ray debut!

Special Features and Technical Specs:
  • NEW 2K RESTORATION FROM AN INTERPOSITIVE
  • New audio commentary with film historians Alain Silver and Christopher Coppola
  • Youthful Intensity: An interview with Director and co-writer Joseph Ruben
  • Can't Miss the Boat: An Interview with Director of Photography Steven M. Katz
  • Essays by film critics Chris Shields, Adam Nayman and Brandon Streussnig
  • English SDH subtitles
