For the week that ended on July 13th, Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Civil War topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its first week. It did the same when it opened in the US in early December 2023, topping the box office on its opening weekend en route to a global total of over $294 million (becoming the fifth highest-grossing Japanese film of all time), and winning dozens of awards, including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film and in the UK, the BAFTA for Best Animated Film. This week, The Boy and the Heron sold 42% as many Blu-ray units as Civil War, with a perfect HD share of 100% and 47% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

And debuting in third place is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Abigail (2024). The horror-comedy opened in April 2024 to positive reviews, topping the box office and grossing over $42 million worldwide.
