For the week that ended on April 27th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's
The Beekeeper (2024) debuted on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. The latest Jason Statham action vehicle opened in January 2024 to broadly positive reviews and a box office take of over $66 million domestically and over $152 million worldwide. This week,
The Beekeeper had an HD share of 52% and 10% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Debuting in second place on both charts is Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's
Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Two. The latest DC comics animated adventure is the second part of a three-part adaptation of the 1985-1986 limited series comic book of the same name, with
Part One released back in January. Like its predecessor,
Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Two was only released on Blu-ray and as a
4K UHD SteelBook. Consequently, it sold 46% as many Blu-ray units as
The Beekeeper, with a perfect HD share of 100% and 15% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Rising to third place on both charts is Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's
The Departed. Martin Scorsese's Best Picture Oscar winner was released on 4K UHD this week, the first time it has been remastered since it was initially released on home video back in 2007. This week,
The Departed sold 38% as many Blu-ray units as
The Beekeeper, with a perfect HD share of 100% and 99% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Elsewhere on the charts, Kino Lorber's
Nostalghia, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD this week, came in at No. 5 on the Blu-ray-only chart. Outside the top ten, MUBI's Blu-ray box set of
Lars von Trier's The Kingdom Trilogy (1994-2022) came in at No. 17 and Eureka Entertainment's
The Cat and the Canary (1927) came in at No. 19.
Elsewhere on the UHD Sellers chart, Shout Factory's
Rolling Thunder 4K came in at No. 8 and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's
Steel Magnolias 4K came in at No 9. Outside the top ten, the Criterion Collection's
I am Cuba 4K came in at No. 17 and Blue Underground's
Goodbye Uncle Tom 4K came in at No. 19.
