Darling

ohn Schlesinger's DARLING is a stylish, satrical, yet poignant romp through the Swinging Sixties, an era of excess and excitement, capturing the essence of youth and the pursuit of happiness in a city that, at the time, was the epitome of cool.

Winning three Academy Awards® including Best Actress for Christie, DARLING remains a classic of British cinema, lauded for its stylish depiction of 1960s London and its insightful commentary on the era's social mores.

"Your idea of fidelity is not having more than one man in a bed at the same time."

The story focuses on Diana Scott (Julie Christie, Don't Look Now, McCabe and Mrs Miller), an ambitious young woman determined to climb the social ladder at any cost. From her humble beginnings as a model to fame and fortune as a high-profile television actress and socialite, Diana's life in complicated by entanglements with various men, including a television journalist (Dirk Bogarde, The Night Porter) a manipulative advertising executive (Laurence Harvey, The Manchurian Candidate) and a wealthy Italian prince (José Luis de Vilallonga Breakfast at Tiffany's). While these relationships help advance her career and status they ultimately lead to personal turmoil and a sense of emptiness.

JSA: Joint Security Area 4K Blu-ray

The tense and taut war-thriller from Park Chan-wook (Oldboy), JOINT SECURITY AREA, for the first time in 4K HDR exclusive to Umbrella, stations us between the turbulent sides of the North and South Korean border, entwined in an investigation as to the death of two soldiers with eleven bullets fired.

Eight shots! The truth is there. A firefight occurs at the "Bridge of No Return" in the DMZ (De-Militarized Zone), and two North Korean soldiers are killed. The North claims that the incident was a flagrant attack by the South Koreans, while the South claims that one of their soldiers was kidnapped. In order to solve the dispute, the NNSC (Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission)dispatches half-Korean half-Swiss Army Intelligence Bureau officer, Major Sophie E. Jean. With no cooperation from either side, the case appears to be unsolvable with the potential for a coverup. The truth is much simpler and much more tragic. From acclaimed director Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, The Handmaiden) JOINT SECURITY AREA is at once a lyrical story of friendship and an examination of precarious international relations.
