Rialto: First Look at New 4K Restoration of The Lavender Hill Mob

Rialto Pictures has provided a promotional trailer for the new4K restoration of Charles Crichton's classic comedy The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), starring Alec Guinness, Stanley Holloway, Sidney James, Alfie Bass, and Marjorie Fielding. The 4K restoration will premiere at the TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood, CA, on April 21.
Description: Winner of the Academy AwardŽ for Best Writing, Story and Screenplay. A meek banker (Alec Guinness) teams up with his seedy neighbor (Stanley Holloway) to steal gold bullion and smuggle it out of the country in the shape of miniature Eiffel Towers.
