For the week that ended on March 9th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Wonka remained on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week. A prequel based on the Roald Dahl novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the film stars Timothée Chalamet as a young Willy Wonka, prior to his becoming a famous chocolatier. Directed by Paul King (who previously helmed both Paddington and Paddington 2), Wonka premiered in December 2023 to positive reviews and became a success at the holiday box office, grossing over $217 million domestically and over $628 million worldwide. This week, Wonka had an HD share of 54%, with 14% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Remaining in second place on both charts in its second week is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Migration (2023). The animated film from Illumination, about a family of ducks trying to fly south for a vacation, opened in December 2023 to generally positive reviews. While it opened in third place and failed to set the box office on fire, Migration eventually winged it to over $125 million domestically and over $282 million worldwide, on a budget of $72 million. This week, Migration sold 81% as many Blu-ray units as Wonka, with an HD share of 43% and 5% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Staying in third place in its fourth week is Lionsgate Home Entertainment's The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The latest film in the Hunger Games franchise is a prequel set decades before the adventures of Katniss Everdeen, and opened in November 2023 to mixed reviews. However, with a budget of $100 million, the film found financial success, topping the box office in its first two weekends en route to over $166 million domestically and a global haul of over $337 million. This week, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes sold 75% as many Blu-ray units as Wonka, with an HD share of 57% and 14% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the charts, Paramount Home Media Distribution's keep case re-release of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance 4K came in at No. 13 on the UHD Sellers chart for the week.
