For the week that ended on March 2nd, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Wonka debuted atop both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. A prequel based on the Roald Dahl novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the film stars Timothée Chalamet as a young Willy Wonka, prior to his becoming a famous chocolatier. Directed by Paul King (who previously helmed both Paddington and Paddington 2), Wonka premiered in December 2023 to positive reviews and became a success at the holiday box office, grossing over $217 million domestically and over $628 million worldwide. This week, Wonka had an HD share of 58%, with 19% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Debuting in second place on both charts is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Migration (2023). The animated film from Illumination, about a family of ducks trying to fly south for a vacation, opened in December 2023 to generally positive reviews. While it opened in third place and failed to set the box office on fire, Migration eventually winged it to over $125 million domestically and over $282 million worldwide, on a budget of $72 million. This week, Migration sold 45% as many Blu-ray units as Wonka, with an HD share of 50% and 7% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Dropping to third place in its third week is Lionsgate Home Entertainment's The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The latest film in the Hunger Games franchise is a prequel set decades before the adventures of Katniss Everdeen, and opened in November 2023 to mixed reviews. However, with a budget of $100 million, the film found financial success, topping the box office in its first two weekends en route to over $166 million domestically and a global haul of over $337 million. This week, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes sold 42% as many Blu-ray units as Wonka, with an HD share of 63% and 15% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the charts, Lionsgate's Dream Scenario debuted at No. 9 on the Blu-ray-only chart, while on the UHD Sellers chart, Warner's Contagion 4K (2011), Kino Lorber's Gunfight at the O.K. Corral 4K and the Criterion Collection's The Roaring Twenties 4K debuted just outside the top ten at Nos. 11, 12 and 13, respectively. Finally, Kino's Fear and Desire 4K came in at No. 18.
