Pathe has provided an official teaser trailer for Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière's The Count of Monte Cristo (2024), starring Pierre Niney, Bastien Bouillon, Anaïs Demoustier, Anamaria Vartolomei, and Laurent Lafitte de la Comédie-Française. The film is set to open in France on June 28.
Also included with this announcement is an official theatrical poster.
Description: The target of a sinister plot, young Edmond Dantès is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years in the island prison of Château d'If, he manages a daring escape. Now rich beyond his dreams, he assumes the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo and exacts his revenge on the three men who betrayed him.
